Taverna Tagaris - Richland

Rating: 4.2 /5
Chris Danger Tagaris is one of those places that knows exactly how to set the tone for a great night. Warm lighting, an open kitchen with that glowing wood-fire grill, and a relaxed Mediterranean vibe that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. We had a reservation, and they had our table ready the moment we walked in — comfortable, well-placed, and perfect for conversation. The staff here deserves a shoutout. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful when it came to picking drinks and explaining the menu without rushing us. They gave us that perfect balance of attention and space. First up: the chicken tortilla soup. This thing was flavorful, comforting, and packed with that slow-cooked, homemade taste. Honestly, it was delicious as-is, but a couple slices of avocado would seriously take it to the next level. Still — a great start. Now the paella… WOW. A good size portion, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The rice was cooked perfectly — not mushy, not dry — and honestly better than what I’ve had at a lot of dedicated Spanish restaurants. The mix of seafood and chicken was generous, the seasoning was bright and warm, and every bite hit exactly how paella should. It was the star of the night. We paired everything with sangrias, and they were fantastic — refreshing, not overly sweet, and just the right complement to the meal. The berry sangria especially worked ridiculously well with the paella. Overall, Tagaris gave us a solid, memorable dinner. Great service, great food, cozy atmosphere, and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. Definitely a place we’ll be returning to.

The Spar Restaurant & Bar - Cathlamet

The Flannel Camper We were out for a family drive from Hazel Dell and decided to stop in and try this place out, what an amazing restaurant. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff and seated. The place has a great feel inside, tons of ambiance. The wife and daughter split the "special of the day" rice bowl dish (too many items in it to list), we also got a side of smoked macaroni and cheese. My son had a cheese burger while I had the Rodeo burger. They came with homemade fries. Everything was perfect, the burgers were cooked perfectly. The macaroni was delicious and creamy, the cooked to order fries were very good. While we waited for our food, we loaded up the jukebox and played a round of pool. This place is totally awesome and worth the short drive from the city.

Gangnam Style - Spokane

Rating: 4.8 /5
Jeremy Davis I had an amazing dinner at Gangnam Style in Spokane and can’t recommend this place enough! We ordered the bulgogi hot pot, and it came out beautifully arranged with tender marinated beef, glass noodles, mushrooms, tofu, greens, and veggies that cooked right at the table. Everything was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The banchan spread was also fantastic — the kimchi, spicy cucumber, marinated radish, tofu, and seaweed salad were all super tasty and constantly refilled. We had purple rice on the side, which was perfectly cooked and paired really well with the hot pot. Between the food, the soju, and the cold beer, it made for the perfect cozy Korean meal. Service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed, and the whole experience felt authentic and relaxing. If you’re craving Korean food in Spokane, Gangnam Style is absolutely worth the visit. I’ll definitely be back!
