Blake Nelson Incredible experience overall. When I arrived, no host, no staff, no signage—just vibes. I briefly questioned whether I was committing a crime, but it turns out Cody’s Grill operates on a bold honor system model. Very progressive.
Seating is open-concept and fluid. I sat where I felt spiritually called. The décor says “guy who owns a grill” and nothing more, which I respect.
The self-serve element is truly next level. I grilled my own food, grabbed my own drink, and at one point considered Venmoing myself. Empowering.
The chef never appeared, which added a mysterious, Michelin-adjacent energy. You can feel Cody watching from somewhere inside the house, trusting you to flip at the right time.
Would recommend to anyone who enjoys great food, minimal supervision, and the faint thrill of trespassing. Five stars. Would accidentally host again.
