swinomish casino lodge

Swinomish Casino & Lodge - Anacortes

Rating: 4.1 /5
Elizabeth Pashley Stayed here after going to the San Juan Islands but coming home late enough we couldnt drive all the way home from Anacortes. An excellent location for staying at before or after your Island ferry trip, especially as because its attached to a casino its not weird to get in late or leave early based on the ferry schedule, there will be plenty of staff on site. Additionally, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was quite large and the bathroom felt luxurious. No tub, if thats important to you, but is not to me and the shower was so nice you may find it less important during this stay. Our room faced the water, which is always an enjoyable experience in Washington. If you looked down you could also see the small off-leash dog park for the RV lot, which I enjoyed watching as well if Im honest. We had breakfast at Carvers Cafe, which is on site on the other side of the casino floor. Full menu (roast beef aside) available all day, and food like the casinos of the old days - plentiful, good, and not overpriced. Staff here were also very friendly. I also enjoyed the art in the rooms and around the location, including a large sitting area near the check-in, which most if not all of was made by Swinomish Tribal members and beautiful.

JPs TAPROOM+GRILL - Kent

Michael Merrill My wife had visited here before and highly recommend it, so we went out for a lunch date. There was a short wait to be seated, less than five minutes. We ordered mozzarella sticks to start, I got the turkey club with a cup of their soup of the day, and my wife got their Philly cheesesteak with tots. The food was great. Full of flavor and very filling. I couldnt finish my sandwich and took half of it home to have later! Service was alright. I think they might have been busier than usual on a Monday afternoon. It wasnt bad by any means, but we went long gaps without seeing our server. We ended waiting awhile after we were done eating for the check. Overall, Id love to come back! Their menu has plenty to choose from and they support some cool local breweries, which Im all about.

Black Bear Diner Federal Way - Federal Way

Jessica Acosta Me and my husband were recommended this place by a close friend and it absolutely did not disappoint. Maria our server was extremely kind and friendly and provided excellent service. The Classic French Toast was very well done not too sweet and not too bland it was just right. The prices were also very doable and the Bear vibes were cute. If you’re looking for a nice cozy diner this is definitely a great option.

Sirens Pub - Port Townsend

Avant Lard Travel - by Houston Porter In a town with excellent food, Sirens stands out as one of the top contenders on the Port Townsend food scene. Weve dined here several times in the past because Sirens is one of the only places in town with a true view of the water. However, we have only ever gotten pub grub, and although excellent on its own, it was last nights dinner that really blew our minds and moved Sirens to the top of our list of favorite restaurants in Port Townsend. First off, this was one of the only restaurants in town that was open on Christmas night and actually had tables available without a reservation. (In general, Sirens usually keeps their kitchen open later than most places in PT. (PT can be a fairly sleepy town with little open past 8/9 p.m.)) We had never ordered from their regular menu and were excited to see things like lasagna, grilled salmon, sheppards pie, and even a PT version of cioppino. We started with a couple of local draft beers, which we have always been able to count on when visiting Sirens. They were one of the first restaurants we found years ago that served Port Townsend Brewing Company, and not just one, but several, along with a great selection of other beers, wines, and excellent cocktails. (For those of us who dislike the hoppy beers that prevail in the NW, I highly recommend the Scotch Ale and the Nitro Stout, both from PTBC. Both are great examples of those beer styles and both are perfect with food.) We opted for the lasagna, salmon, and cioppino and all were off the charts good, with the cioppino possibly being the best weve ever had. We eat a lot of cioppino, being from the S.F. Bay Area (where it was invented) and this saffron infused version is phenomenal. The amount of seafood was seriously impressive and the flavor of the saffron stew was mind blowing. We followed this up with the holiday special black forest chocolate cheese cake...which was truly fantastic. To top it all off, the staff was wonderful as always, making us feel welcome on a blustery Christmas night and they had spent some serious time decorating for the holidays, and that too added a warm and welcoming touch to our dining experience. We havent always stopped in to Sirens during every visit to PT in the past, but after last nights dinner, we certainly will on all future trips. Seriously, after Finistere, this might be our new favorite restaurant in town for a high quality dinner. Kudos to the chef, the staff, and the owners for making such a great place for both locals and visitors alike.

Mizu Japanese Steakhouse - Renton

Shannon Carson Good food, though nothing stood out as spectacular. Our chef seemed less entertaining than the others around us, but maybe he was just having an off day. The servers were on top of things and kept everyone in our large group happy.

Bobs Classic Restaurant & Distillery - East Wenatchee

David Ren Very good restaurant! The decorations makes me feel very comfortable. The staff are very nice! I ordered chicken wing appetizer, to me it’s too salty, but still very tasty. So just a friendly reminder that this place maybe little bit salty than other restaurants. Also we ordered teriyaki wings and they’re spicy, we’re hardly able to handle it.
