Chris Robideau QUALITY FOOD AND EXCELENT SERVICE!!! So I was in the area this last week on a 2-day drift fishing trip. Tired and hungry we were trying to find a decent meal in the area. This place was perfect and surprised us in so many good ways. Corn jalapeño chowder is soooo good, my wifes burger was juicy real beef and so good, and the in house hand-battered fish and chips had large pieces of fresh cod. The pregnant bar tender/waitress, working hard, provided the best service we have had in a long time and we eat out a lot. I share that she was pregnant because I want her to know I am writing about her and giving her a tremendous shout out for being a great waitress, working hard while pregnant, happy and cheerful, helpful with the menu, and on her game with a smile on her face making sure our meal was great! Well done!!! She checked on us early and often, stopped by moments after our first bites to see if we were happy with the food, and was genuinely concerned about our dining experience. She went above and beyond when my wife ordered her burger with no tomatoes, and ordered a general side salad. We didnt think when ordering to hold the tomatoes from the salad, but the salad comes with tomatoes and we heard her remind the chef to hold the tomatoes on the salad, knowing my wife omitted them from her burger. It was not a big deal, but servers today seem to just go through the motions, not thinking. This lady was sharp and a great server. A couple black and tans, great food, and great service!!! Well done 8th Street Tavern!!! Oh and the restrooms were very clean...not something you see in most rural area bars. We tipped like crazy and will be back everything we co.e through the area!!! -Chris

Christine Restaneo We stopped here while driving through Tacoma on a rainy morning to look at properties, and we’re so glad we did. We originally noticed an IHOP and a Denny’s nearby, but Elmer’s caught our eye—and it turned out to be a great decision. The menu was excellent. I ordered a German pancake with lingonberries (they explained it’s similar to a cranberry and raspberry combined), and it was absolutely delicious. I also had the potato pancakes, which were wonderful. Ray ordered the avocado Benedict and said his eggs Benedict was great. The coffee was good and comforting. The atmosphere really stood out—fireplaces inside made it warm and cozy, which was perfect coming in from the rain. Our server, Kyle T., was amazing—very knowledgeable, helped guide me with my order, and made the whole experience even better. If we lived in the area, this would definitely be a regular breakfast spot for us. Highly recommend. PS we love your coffee mugs!!!

Madison Schaefer We had a fantastic experience at Yakima Steak Company for our Christmas work dinner. I made a reservation for 10, and the owner couldn’t have been more accommodating from start to finish. Communication was excellent — he sent confirmations and made sure everything was set up perfectly for our group. While we were there, we were treated incredibly well and truly felt taken care of. The food was great, the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, and the prime rib was a huge hit at our table. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend Yakima Steak Company for group dinners or special occasions.

Laura Monroe We drive down from Olympia just to eat here. Bacon cheeseburger -delicious Regular cheeseburger -delicious Onion rings and tots - delicious Soft serve - huge and you guessed it DELICIOUS! You can eat inside or they have covered tables outside. They also have (2) drive thru windows. The people are always super friendly and the food is worth waiting for, 15-20 minutes is the most weve waited when they were super busy. So good, I want one right now. 10/10 ⭐

Great appetizers and dinner options. Gold beer and great cocktails..Friendly inviting staff.Clean restaurant and bathrooms. Outside dining available..Plenty of parking..Fare priced menu and cocktails. Great job guys..See you again!!..One more piece of good news is they have fresh Oster shooters...There the best Ive ever had...TY

Ann Tseng First time here and certainly not last! What a cute atmosphere with intimate setting. The service was very attentive. All food served together for our table or 4. Portions are filling. We got the Rigatoni con Salsicca with no cream and it was delicious with pasta cooked al dente. The lobster ravioli was good but very seafood taste if that’s what you’re looking for. Dessert menu has something for everyone. Tiramisu made in house. Affogato was a good serving. The lava cake was perfectly warmed up. Parking is parallel parking in this walking area. Weekday nights are not busy it seems. They have a private dining room good for a group dinner. The bar area was rowdy but they were in a separate wing of the space so it wasn’t a bother.
