dukes seafood

Dukes Seafood - Tukwila

Rating: 4.4 /5
Joe G Slightly taken aback once we realized that the restaurant was in the mall, but once you get inside the feeling is of any stand alone restaurant. Calamari was great with a very light batter on it. Both the Hot Honey and Tequila Lime Aiolis sauces accented beautifully. The New England Clam chowder was good with lots of meat. The beer batter cod was strange to me. Instead of being light and flaky, it seemed more like a bread crumb crust than beer batter. The cod itself was good. I’m not a big coleslaw fan, but this was very dry with little or no sauce and seemed more like a salad. The warm sourdough bread and butter was very good. The butter in a bowl looked very nice, but was not the most effective delivery. Jean-Luc was attentive without being bothersome.

Nayas Cafe - Kent

Rating: 4.6 /5
Bobby Mills The biscuits n gravy are some of the best Ive found around WA. 10/10 with a hint of cumin in it. Being from Kentucky, its a comfort food and staple breakfast option but just generally isnt done up right out West (for how simple it is). But Nayas knocks it outta the ballpark. Even the scrambled eggs were fluffed up and not overcooked. Creamy and quality eggs used. The sausages had great flavor and seared perfectly to my liking. Dip it in some syrup and you wont regret it. So far this place is the only one Ive been to that also crisps up your hash browns perfectly. The coffee was the only negative review, being extra bitter dark roast / burnt tasting, but we all like our coffee different ways so no harm. I usually do it black with honey but this was just too much. The staff is very attentive both when its slow or busy. Plenty of seating but its very popular for a reason. Lots of parking and cute decor inside. Large menu options for any time of day but good news is breakfast is all day!
country cousin restaurant

Country Cousin Restaurant - Centralia

Rating: 4.3 /5
Kevin If you’re craving a meal that feels like a hug from Grandma, Country Cousin delivers in spades. Their pot roast is the kind that melts on your fork, slow-cooked to perfection, rich with savory depth, and served with all the cozy trimmings. The country fried steak was a golden, crispy masterpiece with just the right peppery kick in the gravy. Both dishes are bold in flavor and generous in portion—true comfort food done right. But what really elevates the experience is the service. Reid, who wears both bartender and waiter hats with ease, was an absolute gem. His recommendations were spot-on, and his friendly, down-to-earth vibe made us feel like regulars from the moment we walked in. You can tell he genuinely cares about the guest experience, and that kind of hospitality is rare. Whether you’re passing through or a local looking for a hearty meal and a warm welcome, Country Cousin is the kind of place that reminds you why small-town dining still matters.

Coral Club - Vancouver

EW EW Food looked delicious but we had just enjoyed brunch. Emma is a tiki slayer. She has built an incredible menu of classics and innovative house cocktails. Decore is a mix of classic tiki with just enough neon to inspire a new wave. Additionally, its dark and intimate setting. Quite frankly, we expected 1 and done and yet stayed for 3.

The Cup - Port Townsend

Michael Solid food, perfect service. A wee bit cold in the main dining room, but it was in the 30s and windy that day. Will definitely go back. Looks like they have a great summertime / outdoor setup.

Pop Pot & Bowl - Ellensburg

Rating: 4.5 /5
Chandra Kinnee This is a hidden gem in an old building. Dont let the strange entrance way throw you off. The food was really good and the service was very friendly. They have some typical things you would find at a teriyaki restaurant, they also have hot pots as the name implies. We had the crab rangoon, sesame chicken, and kung pao beef. It was easily enough for three possibly even four people.
