2 /5 T Ken (Donut Farm): My wife and I have been all over the country and along the way weve tried BBQ in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas City, Tennessee, and St Louis. But here at Jacks BBQ, it sadly missed the mark when it comes down to overall appearance/ presentation, taste, and most of all, quality!. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich with ranch style beans and coleslaw. The beans were good but they were simply pinto beans with a pepper taste. The pulled pork sandwich was actually very delicious, moist and perfectly smoked, but the coleslaw had so much apple cider vinegar, that you tasted nothing else!. I ordered "The Burger", which was a brisket blend patty topped with cheese and the standard lettuce, tomato, and red onion. My side was an order of fries and I added beef bacon to my burger as well. My burger was absolutely flavorless and the beef bacon itself was covered in too much (beef fat) Tallow and the bottom of the bun was literally stuck to the parchment paper and when I tried to pick it up, it turned to a mush! The fries were soggy and were seasoned with a blend of spices and it had too much of a sweet side to the seasoning (to me it tasted like apple pie spice and cinnamon), but it was still okay. Is it really Texas Style BBQ?, maybe Inspired by Texas Style BBQ. Overall, when you walk in youll get the feel of being in a BBQ restaurant, but not in the traditional sense of what you would call Texas Style. Side note: this is our individual experience and Im not trying to make it look like a completely awful visit. We will go back and try other items on the menu, every restaurant has down days and maybe it was one of those days! The service is amazing though
