Charlie Liu Sumo AYCE is a great spot if you’re looking for a satisfying all-you-can-eat experience with lots of variety. They have a solid selection at the salad bar, fresh veggies, and plenty of options to keep things interesting. The sushi rolls are definitely a highlight—more on the American style side, but they’re creative, flavorful, and generously portioned. The New York steak and grilled beef are surprisingly good for an AYCE place—juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right.
The curry rice and beef Don, and the sukiyaki are very delicious. The sukiyaki is on the sweet side. Oden soup is really tasty.
The sashimi isn’t the highest quality, so I wouldn’t come here for that specifically, but everything else more than makes up for it. The soup and rice are both delicious and comforting, and I was pleasantly surprised to see unique drink and dessert options like Thai tea and grass jelly—it’s a fun bonus you don’t often see at AYCE spots.
Service is quick, and the food comes out at a good pace even when it’s busy. For the price, the variety and taste make this a place. It’s my second time being Sumo, and I will come back again to when I’m craving a mix of sushi, hot dishes, and sides.
