Salish Grill - (Near Port Townsend, WA)

5 /5 M: We left full and completely satisfied! We made our reservation about two months in advance to make sure we’d get a table since it was our first visit. They seated us with a beautiful ocean view, just as we requested. The weather didn’t cooperate that day, but we still appreciated getting the view we asked for. The food was amazing. We ordered the calamari, potato leek soup, prime rib, clam and mussel linguine, fisherman’s stew, margarita, and mule. The prime rib was perfectly seasoned—thick, tender, and cooked exactly as requested (we ordered it rare because most places overcook it). It was much tastier than many other restaurants weve had it at. The linguine was delicious, and the bread was perfectly toasted and seasoned, pasta was flawless. They provided wet napkins and a bowl for shells, which made enjoying the seafood easy. The fisherman’s stew was decent—thicker and more tomato-forward, but still good. The calamari was expertly cooked, and the sauce it came with was excellent. The potato leek soup, though, was phenomenal! Service was great from start to finish. We’ll definitely return the next time we’re in the area!

5 /5 Clayton Ulrich: Delicious and enjoyable experience. Love the historical building. Best clam chowder I have ever had, but was another level of culinary splendor. Not fishy or clamy tasting, but superbly blended with micro veggies and spices. Something in its own category. We can call it Salish style chowder! (Just remember I came up with the name) Clayton Ulrich :)

3 /5 Angie Gilmour: We were one of 2 couples there, food was very good. Best calamari Ive ever had. Size of onion rings. Fish and fries were excellent also. View was nice,However there was an influx of flies attacking us and it made it really difficult to eat as we were swirling our cloth napkins around like helicopters to keep them off of us. They said it was fly season and we actually asked if they had flyswatters we could use when we were waiting for food. They did not, their electric one had recently broke. Would I eat there again? Probably, the food was good. but Im bringing my swatter with me!

5 /5 Chanda Mitchell: This was the first restaurant we ate in after arriving in Washington state and I couldn’t have made a better choice in places to go. The walk from the hotel set the mood which continued in our delicious meal of fisherman stew and clam chowder. Both were superb and memorable. I was truly impressed with the venue and the great service. I wish I had been more hungry for I would’ve sampled more.

5 /5 Jennifer Silva Redmond: Our server Raea was amazing and the food and drinks were even better. First off the views are lovely from Point Hudson marina. The location is perfect and parkimg is easy. But it gets better. We started with cocktails and they were top notch. My hubby said his Old Fashioned was the best hed ever had. Then we started sampling the appetizers. Such a variety-- sushi rolls, clam and mussels in a piquant broth sauce, and then we had the seafood dip with Naan bread. Raea recommended the bread pudding saying it was soul-gasmic and she was not wrong. We left satiated and happy. I highly recommend this restaurant.
