Allison Isakson My hubby and I decided to check this bar out after reading about it in the newspaper. We went on a sunny, Summer Wednesday and they were busy! Its a cute, little, indoor spot with a Southern feel inside, located right off commercial Ave. The service was amazing, they were always on top of it.
There was a wide variety of cocktails to choose from. I tried several, and all were made to perfection-- tasty and strong, made from quality spirits, fresh ingredients, that pop with flavor, paired with unique garnishes and glassware, transporting you to New Orleans without the travel.
The shrimp and grits was the best Ive had since I lived in the South. Shrimp not overcooked, perfect flavor balance and portion size. Surprisingly good in general but especially for our cute little Anacortes town.
Only downside I could see for some, is that this bar and restaurant is for ages 21 and up only. That also means it can be a little on the loud side. Not a problem to me because they played great, fitting music and maintained a very nice atmosphere. As convenient as family restaurants are, its a treat having a place just for "grownups". ♡ Cant wait to return and try more things!
