El Patron Mexican Restaurant and Taqueria - Colville

Rating: 4.8 /5
Authentic Biker Starting with the chips, the salsa and the fresh made pico de gallo, this restaurant nailed every everything perfectly. My wife had the combination fajitas and I had the burrito supreme. We could only eat half of each and they were both stellar choices. The service was on point and not lacking in any way. We will absolutely be eating at this restaurant anytime we come through this cute little town. Highly recommended.

Dockside - Anacortes

Gary Syck Every year, in November, I join friends and family for a trip to a secret location in the San Juan Islands. The adventure starts in the dark, with a drive up to Anacortes to catch a ferry to Friday Harbor. This year, the weather was cold and rainy. We had a 20 minute wait in line - just enough time for a latte. The bad news was that the coffee in the ferry terminal is terrible. Still, it was hot, so we reluctantly headed in. That was when my daughter spotted Dockside - a mobile booth set up next to the holding area. We made an immediate course correction. There was fruit in baskets out front, all the usual coffee add-ons on a counter and a window where an enthusiastic barista greeted us. He bantered his way through taking our orders and assured us that we would have our drinks in (Checks the order list) "Three minutes and twenty eight seconds." I did not time him, but it was not long before I had my hands warming around a latte that tasted great. Several of the people we would meet on the boat to our secret location joined us to catch up on personal news and drink coffee. Before we knew it, the tannoy blared the announcement that it was time to load. What a great way to pass the time. I have a few more trips planned this Winter and I am looking forward to the Dockside part of those trips.

Baylee Crouse 7/18/25 update i will never complain again. i came here for my birthday meal because it was so amazing last time and they absolutely blew me away with how divine the food and drinks were. i got the rutabaga which was a culinary EXPERIENCE and my fiance got the bavette which was GENUINELY the best steak either of us g have ever eaten. there were no service delays or anything, genuinely had one of the best meals of my life. go here. fr. okay girlies. this was the BEST MEAL i have had in bellingham in a HOT minute. the space is adorable too!!! absolutely in love with the art on the walls. The drinks? immaculate. the salmon montadito? divine. the black cod? delicious. and the ricotta gnocchi? i would give up my hypothetical first born for a lifetime supply of it. the food also came out so fast which was such a pleasant surprise! is it a little pricey? yeah. is it worth the price? absolutely. my one and ONLY complaint is that while the server/host/bartender were all friendly, like VERY friendly, there didn’t seem to be a whole lot of organization. we placed our cocktail order 15-20 minutes before we got them, and while they were delicious, it just seemed a little long (especially because we were seated at the bar). i don’t want to rag on the bartender either because i could tell he was busy! however, i watched 2 other coworkers asked if he needed help and be told no. fair enough, but a 20 minute wait for a drink when the food came out in ten was a little wild. also, the host was the one who came by and took our food order after noticing that the bartender hadn’t taken it yet. which hey, totally fine, but a little weird since we were seated at the bar. last tiny con— i put in an order for a glass of wine while taking the last bites of our entree and it never came. i didn’t want to ask for an update since the cocktails took so long to be made, and we were nearly done with our food with dessert on the way (which by the way, the matcha panacotta is a must try. do yourself a favor.) we weren’t charged for the wine though so we decided to just let it go, no biggie! for one seafood dish, two entrees, two cocktails and dessert it was $150, which for the quality and flavor was absolutely worth it. i’m hoping that next time we come i can change my review to five stars! definitely would recommend checking out this delicious and adorable restaurant.

Wharf Dog Paddle and Pantry. - Coupeville

Alex Schlesinger Wow, such a great experience! Everyone was so helpful, kind, and easy going. Very reasonably priced, free water proof bags for phones, and fancy kayaks with rudders (most Seattle kayak spots dont have those kind in my experience). The area was beautiful and youre almost guaranteed encounters with seals around the mussel farms. Highly recommend checking them out on your next Whidbey trip!

Lamadrid’s Bistro - Walla Walla

Cody Thomason A refreshing pallet pleaser. From the ribeye to the tacos, and everything in between the food was on point. This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in Walla Walla. The lamb stew was amazing as well. The service was amazingly smooth for a new restaurant. prices were very reasonable and the atmosphere was cozy. I would highly recommend making this a weekly visit.
