Brick Coffee House Café - Marysville

Rating: 4.5 /5
Ela Palaweña We went there for the first time. The place was cozy. They have outdoor seating so we sat outside because the weather was nice that day. The food was delicious. My friend and I both ordered the brick skillet and it was yummy. The service was good. Ordering the food at the counter was fast. Everything in the menu looked fair price. I had hot chocolate, I just wished they put whipped cream on top. They either dont offer it or they forgot to ask me if I want one. But Id come back and bring my family, for sure.

Havana Kitchen - Temecula

Anna Liza We’re back at Havana Kitchen in Temecula, and honestly, it feels so good to be here again. After a recent trip to Miami, we drove around for hours looking for a Cuban restaurant that serves breakfast—including empanadas—and couldn’t find a single place in Miami nor the surrounding area ! You drove around for a couple hours at least ! Can you believe that? It made us appreciate Havana Kitchen even more, so now we tell everyone: this is hands down the best Cuban spot in the world. This time, we had their fresh potato balls, which were prepped just yesterday, and of course, their incredible ropa vieja. It’s my favorite, and they make it even better as a breakfast dish by simply adding an egg on top. Pure perfection. And their café con leche? It’s unbeatable—sweet, warm, and so comforting. I’d take it over Better Buzz (the coffee shop down the street) any day. Their drinks are great, but Havana Kitchen’s café con leche is on another level. We also grabbed a Chicken Cilantro Empanada Kids Meal to-go because it’s our firstborn’s favorite, and honestly, it’s so good I might get one for myself next time. I’m just so thankful to have such an incredible Cuban restaurant so close to home. Havana Kitchen really is the best!

SP2 Communal Bar + Restaurant - San Jose

Rating: 4.1 /5
Carl Foisy Since the day this place opened. It has been a delight. Definitely on the list of some of the best happy hour in downtown San Jose. Consistency is king and with this spot consistency is on point. Everything from the sticky ribs to their warm burrata cheese, the food is great. I understand there. Chef is very talented and is indeed keeping the bar high. Happy hour drinks are a good deal, and if you get there early enough, you can find a seat at the bar or outside on the covered patio. I’m glad they’ve survived and are still doing great things.

The Blind Burro - San Diego

Tom Keller The perfect place to continue the party after a Padres game! We got a nice table for 8 right after a Padres win, sooooooooooooo double win?? Double House margarita with no extra flavor was one of the better margaritas Ive had downtown. Service was incredibly quick, the $5 chips and salsa is a great deal and tasty. The menu is on the expensive side, but the two tacos for $20 and a side were huge and enough to satisfy a grown man. The grilled shrimp was fantastic, the Al Pastor seemed more like Asada but was still tasty. The rice was decent but meh, the black beans were good. TJ dog was great, tons of toppings and an ok bun, but $9 was a good price. Burro bowl was huge with added shrimp, and tasty! The service really shined for us so that will keep us coming back!
