Applebees Grill + Bar - (Near Watsonville, CA)

1 /5 Christina Perry: I got the new chicken parmesan with fettuccine pasta. The pasta was very the thin and small. It was like mush and hardly any sauce. My husband got the chicken broccoli Alfredo. Same noodles. No sauce. Asked waitress for more sauce. Twenty minutes later she shows up with sauce after food is completely cold. Absolutely disgusting pasta. If I was the cook Id be embarrassed to serve such slop.

2 /5 carrie sawyer: I ordered food to go. I ordered the neighborhood, beef nachos and a Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was fine. The lettuce was fresh. It could’ve been more cheese. There was hardly any Parmesan cheese on it and it could’ve been a few more croutons but other than that it was fresh. The neighborhood nachos on the other hand were the most disgusting thing ever and I don’t know if I will ever go back to Applebee’s. How could they send me out the door with this. The nachos had absolutely no cheese, there were three chunks of ground up beef stuck together and chunks, they were burnt on one side, the other side they clearly had been sitting out for a really long time because they were dried right up. I am not happy. I really needed to eat something. I hadn’t eaten all day. I had just come back yesterday from my mom’s cremation service overseas. I really needed to eat and they send me that. This is a lot about the place that they would send something like that out the door with burnt meat and dried up meat. What are they thinking? They can get rid of it that way while they’re losing out on my business. I used to go to Applebee’s regularly like 4 or 5 times a month. I will not give my business to shady practices, like sending food out the door that’s burnt and dried up and nachos with no cheese on them!!!!

1 /5 Mikey Jimenez: So I had an issue with the fact that my main dish took over an hour to reach my table & I had to ask for my food to go before anyone came over to tell me my food was on its way. My server was very nice & took my order as I ordered it. So I didn’t have an issue with that I feel like the communication could have been better. If I would have known of the time my food was being brought to me I would have just ordered appetizers. Mind you it wasn’t busy and they had staff to spare. Also my main dish was a burger & a steak for my sister, my bun was soggy and burned & the patty was slightly burn and dry with no seasoning the texture had a rubber feel. The steak was dry. The appetizers were okay. One thing I enjoy was the drink I bought. I got my appetizers right away but i went there to enjoy my meal. I noticed that 30 minutes after arriving people showed up & they got their food at the same time we got ours to go. Not sure if the chef cooked all of our food at the same time but I was sitting there far too long to get my burger & steak meal after I ask for it to go. For 65 dollars that I spent I could have just gone to a drive thru. I didn’t eat the meal. After two bites it just pissed me off.

5 /5 J J: My waitress was so kind! I went yesterday and the door greeters are kind and welcoming! The food was good, maybe a little more seasoning would’ve made it better but it was so delicious! And the location is clean and the bathrooms aren’t dirty! :) also the food didn’t take long to get, so really good wait times

3 /5 Kevin Onorato: A clean place with friendly and attentive servers. The food, well, I imagine that the kitchen is doing the best they have with what they are given. The sodium was near the top of the chart. The food was not affordable but the heartburn was free. So there is that. Again, I doubt this is the fault of the chef. But if they read this, I do not write to offend but rather warn other diners. And what did I expect? It served our needs, a clean, friendly place to park ourselves for a while, pay too much for meh food. All of the employees were quality and on point.. and I actually couldnt understand the menu. There was some ki d of deal going on. Three for three or two for two or something. When next in Salinas I will ask the advisement of local contacts for other options.
