Belmont Brewing Co - (Near Long Beach, CA)

5 /5 F T: This beachside brewery has an outdoor patio that extends almost all the way to the sand, offering incredible ocean views—definitely the highlight, highly recommend grabbing a seat outside. They have plenty of tables, both inside and out, with heat lamps and wind shields to keep things comfortable. We shared a few dishes. The mussels were just okay—a bit underwhelming for me. But the poke bowl more than made up for it: super fresh, with three kinds of fish, all of which were excellent. My friend had the fish and chips, which were crispy, flaky, and really fresh-tasting. There’s plenty of parking nearby, including a small strip mall with free spaces, which made getting there hassle-free. After eating, we took a stroll along the beach and the pier, which is just steps away. A perfect way to wrap up the meal. Quite disappointed though that they do not accept dogs anywhere, not even on the patio.

3 /5 Sabina: The location is great - right on the beach with nice views - and the food itself was good. Beer was amazing. We went in December, and it seemed like they were short-staffed. Everything took a very long time: drinks, beer, food, even water. At one point, we waited about 20 minutes for another beer, and by the time it arrived, our food was already cold. We were seated outside during happy hour but were told that happy hour only applies inside at the bar, not at outdoor tables, so we couldn’t use it. There also weren’t enough heaters outside, and some of them were out of gas, which made it quite cold. At the end of the meal, our table was waiting for a while to get the check and was being overlooked. I politely called our waitress and asked, “Sorry, can we have the check?” (my boyfriend was in the restroom at the time). She looked at me and responded, “Sir? Did you call me sir?” I was confused and explained that I said “sorry,” not “sir.” She acknowledged it and moved on, but the interaction felt awkward and uncomfortable. Overall, while the location is nice, the service issues and that final interaction made the experience unpleasant. I wouldn’t return unless things improve.

4 /5 Harv: Have a beer, get some food and a view of the ocean? Check, check and check. A huge variety of drafts to choose from and with different sizes to boot. They have the stouts, ipas, the fruity ones and more. The food here is beer friendly and good to share for those who like to nibble while drinking. They have indoor seating and a patio. If you sit outside make sure you put sunscreen on cause the shade is limited.
