Cachanillas Tacos & Cheves - (Near Calexico, CA)

Elliot Woo We were visiting family here from L.A. They took us to this new place on Thursday night. We went in with no knowledge of this place. No expectations, period. We left the restaurant happy and very satisfied. We ordered arancini, beef tartare, Caesar salad, bucatini lemone, squid ink fettuccine and the New York steak with broccoli. Besides the bucatini, which was different than the dry one thats typically thicker and hollow, hence a bit disappointing, the rest of the dishes were all well made and fresh and delicious. NY steak was the crown jewel: perfect temp and well seasoned - one of the best steaks we have ever had. Service was very friendly, started a bit slow and not too familiar with the wine list. Overall great experience and good price points.

Flor Romero Abolustely LOVED Cannonball. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. They checked up on us the right amount of times and always kept our water glasses filled despite it being a busy night. I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Cocktails were perfect. FOOD: We just got a few shareables and split everything. You cant come here and NOT get the biscuits. The most perfect, flaky things in the world. The shrimp were our favorite. We got fries of course which were delicious. And the tuna tartare. Overall everything was perfect and we will definitely be coming back!

Elizabeth Gomez The food was amazing! Their spicy hummus was sooo good! I had the spicy chicken, my spouse had the garlic chicken wrap, and my friend had the chicken pasta. Everything was so delicious and the service was incredible! (Didn’t get a picture of the pasta or the spicy hummus) regardless everything was 10/10.

The Pickled Deli & The Parlor Owner The owner was very attentive and welcoming. Wasn’t sure what to try and she came up with some amazing suggestions. I would say I prefer the rice pilaf over the yellow. The lamb apparently is sourced from Australia and it was the highlight for me. The meat thingy… I still can’t pronounce it, was a great appetizer. Must try the cheese dessert think it started with a K :) Overall a great experience and highly recommend.

Truth Unicorn Great quality SoulFood in the Northern California Bay Area, near Travis AFB. I’ve been here a few times. After the first, I had to return another go and it didn’t disappoint. I believe It’s also black owned. The serving staff really impressed me with their courtesy and sense of urgency in serving me. It was packed when I visited because the food is that good. This is the real deal type of SoulFood. They go far above and beyond delivering excellent customer/food service. The quality of food is what I wanted and expected. I was completely satisfied with the service that I received here. It’s a nice family style/oriented setup and atmosphere. Will definitely come back and eat here again when/if I’m in the area. James Camacho The atmosphere and the food here make for a great night out. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, the bacon mac and cheese, and the buttuery buns. Everything was delicous! At this time of year this restaurant embraces the Christmas spirit, which I really appreciate. The customer service was great as well. Everyone was friendly and helpful. As is the case for any downtown eating experience, the parking can be tough to find. Park 20-30 minutes before you want to eat because you may have to walk several blocks. Overall, a great experience with some delicious food. Eat up!!!
