CAFE WARAO - (Near Suisun City, CA)

5 /5 Madison Woodworth: The photos of the food grabbed my attention, even though I was only looking to stop somewhere for a quick coffee. I decided to try one of the arepas; after all, this is a Venezuelan café. It was incredibly flavorful and delicious! My boyfriend had the Americano croissant and devoured it. Their coffee was good, but their food was SPECTACULAR! I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Suisun City—or just make the drive; it’s worth it.

3 /5 D Ragland: I was really excited to try this place because I recently saw one of their promo videos on social media. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. The food was alright, we ordered two arepas (one chicken and avocado and one beef and plantain) but the coffee wasnt great and the service wasnt either. It took us 35+ minutes to get our order. Multiple customers who came in after us received their food and drinks before we did even when they ordered the same items. My friend finally asked the cashier how much longer would it be, and she told us they ran out of milk and they were waiting for more. That was never communicated to us for some reason. We ended up choosing an alternative milk instead and waited several more minutes for the food. I ordered a cortado and it tasted very watered down. My friend ordered a mocha and said that it just tasted like chocolate milk. The chicken arepa with avocado is more like a chicken salad, lacked flavor and was stuffed with cold, unmelted cheese. The beef and plantain arepa was way better, I recommend trying that one instead. All in all, the place wasnt terrible but it wasnt great either, I probably wont be back.

3 /5 Breanna S: Placed an order online at 5:30pm with a scheduled pickup for 7:45pm for an event next door at 8. I got a text from the owner that my food had been ready and sitting for an hour at 7pm. I texted back to clarify that the order was for pickup later in the evening and the owner didnt acknowledge my message. When I got there it was clear the food had cooled and been sitting out for a long time. I tried to explain but he just said "yes its your order thank you!" It was fine but Id exercise caution placing an order online unless youre into food being prepared and set out 2 hours before your scheduled pickup time.
