5 /5 Jeremy Cowin: We’re visiting family in Red Bluff and spending time at all of our favorite spots, so it probably feels like I’m leaving a lot of five-star reviews—but this one is well deserved. Carlitos is hands-down our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. We especially loved the Christmas decorations this time around. The food is excellent, but honestly, the service might be even better. Drinks were never empty, refills showed up before we had to ask, and the staff was incredibly attentive the entire meal. One moment that really stood out: our grandchild finished coloring on his kids menu, and out of nowhere one of the staff members showed up with a fresh coloring sheet and new crayons. No request, no delay—just thoughtful, friendly service. The staff here is always welcoming, observant, and genuinely kind, and that consistency keeps us coming back. The only downside is the parking lot—it’s a bit rough—but that’s not their fault and absolutely shouldn’t stop anyone from eating here. If you’re looking for the best Mexican restaurant in town, Carlitos is it.

Every visit feels special — the food, the service, everything shines. I’m genuinely grateful for this spot… it’s become a favorite for me and my whole family! Highly recommend! 4 /5 Sam Goh: One of my favorite stops along the I5 traveling thru the area. The service is excellent and food is good. I especially enjoy the traditional Arroz con Pollo although this time it tasted more salty than usual.

5 /5 Land Farmers, LLC: Best plate of CHILE VERDE I’ve ever had!! The serving size is huge. The plate it’s served on is the size of 3 normal plates. The prices were unbelievably good. Enormous plate of chili Verde, rice, beans, tortillas, chips and salsa, all for $22. Almost all of the menu is very reasonably priced between $10 and $20. The service was incredible. I was seated immediately and order was taken 2 minutes after that. Food came out in less than 10 minutes, probably closer to 5. Chile Verde, rice, and beans all as good as I’ve ever had and much better than most. Tortillas come in a tortilla press that they may have just been made in. Chips and Salsa were incredibly good too. This place is only about a half mile east of the freeway. Located in a strip mall center with a huge parking lot. Thanks for doing it right, Carlito’s. I will stop to eat here for the rest of my life!

5 /5 Nicole H: This was our first time eating at Carlito’s and it won’t be our last. The food was absolutely amazing, huge portions and reasonably priced. I got the chili verde plate and my husband got the lamb shank. Both plates came with your choice of tortillas (you can get mixed, corn and flour). My daughter got one the kids plates and got the quesadilla and french fries. Great price and portion. We also had the Cadillac Margaritas and Old Fashioned Margaritas. They were both delicious. The service was also excellent. Highly recommend coming here.
