CasaMaestros - (Near Modesto, CA)

2 /5 Ken Miles: Unfortunately we can only give 2 stars. We love the environment. The staff was friendly. The first app was really good and I’d recommend getting it if you ever come here. It was the CasaMaestros Choriqueso. Amazing! We then ordered the Molcajete with Shrimp and Steak. The steak was so over cooked it resembled shoe leather more than it did steak. The shrimp was so tough from being over cooked. It was so disappointing. It very well may have been the worst meal I’ve had in a very long time. The drinks were very small and full of ice. It was over priced for what you get. Again, nice people, beautiful place, very stylish. I so wanted to love this place. I strongly recommend they get a better chef and make some changes! I don’t see the owner ever replies to these google reviews which is disappointing. It means they don’t really listen to feedback. Sad.

3 /5 Sarah Gault: This was my second visit to the restaurant. We chose it because it was across the street from the Gallo center. The food is delicious except our guacamole was intensely citrus flavored you could not even taste the avocado. The vibe is nice, but I will add the floors and table tops were very sticky. I have to say, though, the service was terrible. Besides our table of five, there were two other tables of customers and two people at the bar at 5 o’clock on a Thursday night. It took forever to get our drinks and they weren’t correct when they were brought to the table. Every time we asked for something even if it was silverware, it would take 15 to 20 minutes. No excuse, cause there was hardly any customers in the place. My friend had three margaritas and asked for salt on the rim every time and never got it. I had the Kearny Asada and it was delicious. When wrapping up half of it to take home, I asked for extra flour tortillas. They wanted to charge me for them even though we had already spent $250 on the bill.If this restaurant could get their service up to par, it would be a great place. But I will not be back until that happens.

3 /5 Daniel Durand: Food is tasty but service is severely lacking. Friendly waitress but incredibly slow and inefficient. Place was less than half full and it took 40 min for our full order to get to the table. Each plate arrived with a 5 minute difference and by the time the last one arrived the first one was already cold. Had to ask for silverware and a side of limes multiple times. Ended up getting them myself from the bar.

5 /5 Erica Hall: We enjoyed the food. My rib eye and shrimp was good! The servers didnt know what a Roy Rogers was lol. We kept having to explain to them its Coke and grenadine. But they did make it and it was really good. The sodas though are served in really small cups. My spicy Margarita was really good. My husband loved his carne asada tacos. They were really busy and didnt bring my husband his Roy Rogers for about 10 to 15 minutes after he asked for more. and they dropped the ball on bringing me my second spicy margarita, after they had asked me if I wanted another one. But it was fine, I dont usually drink so it doesnt matter. Overall, my husband said that he would go back there. The music honestly was too loud for me. It kind of makes me feel overstimulated and anxious. They should definitely turn it down.

2 /5 Cris Bee: Drinks were well balanced and beautifully presented, but the service here is terrible. We were one of the only tables here and the server never came back to refill drinks and it took us coming to find her to get the bill. With many options for food and drinks in downtown I would definitely avoid here.
