Wade Norton Corvis Bakery is a fun little coffee shop and bakery tucked away in Grass Valley. Everything they bake is 100% gluten-free, which makes it a great stop for anyone with dietary restrictions or just looking for a lighter treat. We sampled a couple of their cupcakes — the chocolate one was a bit of a disappointment, as it seemed older and harder than it should’ve been. However, the carrot cake cupcake more than made up for it — fresh, soft, and absolutely delicious. On a recommendation, we also tried the cortado, made with whole milk, and it was excellent — smooth, balanced, and perfectly prepared. We’d definitely return, and we’d be happy to recommend Corvis Bakery to family and friends looking for a cozy spot with gluten-free treats and quality coffee.

Shani Soils Pats Place is a great addition to the community and city. I have eaten here often since their opening. The owner and staff are very friendly. Im always greeted with a smile! The food is delicious, the definition of comfort food. Feels like family cooked it. Ive tried most menu items and nothing disappoints! I would recommend anything but the catfish, mac n cheese, grrens & pot roast are my favs. Cornbread is fire. The prices are great for the amount of food, it is always clean in the restaurant and there is limited seating if you want to dine in vs. Take out. The parking lot is fairly small but I never have an issue with parking. If youre a resident in San Bernardino or passing through... Pats Place is a MUST TRY!

Amie Sarte 11/27/25 We had a Turkey dinner and it was delicious. The wait is less than 10 minutes. They also serve our food in a good amount of time. The staff are very friendly and nice. 11/29/25 Another yummy dinner after a long day hike. Everything was fresh and filling.

Camie Waggoner Came here for the first time and love it, drove from Brookings and the family was so nice that they separated all the food so it would stay as fresh as possible. They put all the sauce on the side for me to add later. We ordered one of everything on the menu so we can try everything they had for the day! I was not disappointed, the food was still warm after a 45min drive due to traffic. The cheese puffs are so delicious, loved the beef and broccoli. Had the orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken and the spicy chicken as well as the prawns. Thank you so much for accommodating us since we came right when they were closing for lunch. We truly appreciate your hospitality and understanding. Will definitely be back again for another round of this delicious meal.
