Daves Hot Chicken - (Near San Luis Obispo, CA)

Matthew Koundakjian My partner took me here for an early birthday after a ChatGPT search for good restaurants in the near by cities. It mentioned Table 26 as highly rated. I made a reservation and upon arrival, we were seated immediately by a friendly and welcoming hostess. We ordered soup, appetizer, entrees, drinks. When they were out of the wine I ordered, they upgraded without cost. The food was uniformly excellent and demonstrated a lot of attention to detail. Even the bread rolls we ordered were subtly sourdough while having a really nice texture. Everything was prepared well, seasoned well. I was asked if I wanted salt and pepper shakers and said yes, thinking, why not, but nothing needed it. One thing I especially appreciate is when multiple courses dont come all at the same time and crowd or rush you and we were given ample time to enjoy everything. The server was friendly, helpful, made good suggestions and added to the experience. All of the staff were friendly and professional. I had ordered a rib eye and my partner said it was the best beef shed ever had. I just thought it was excellent. One additional thing that was unexpected is we were too full for any dessert, but for my birthday, our server brought a slice of cheesecake, a candle and some fruit syrup, that we were able to enjoy later. I dont ever remember such a thoughtful gesture so nicely executed. I initially dropped a star on the atmosphere because the food was a lot better than the space would lead one to expect. Not sure why specifically and I wouldnt recommend a change either. It was perfectly lovely in dark tones and so I put the star back. Well go back and will tell a friend, and you.

Ed Marmon This place is absolutely amazing. From the food to the service both great experiences. The burgers are amazing and nothing like fast food. They definitely use quality real ingredients. The burgers, tacos and my friend even tried the nachos everything was very good. Ive never had anything that wasnt good from this place. One thing I would HIGHLY recommended is the drinks they make on site daily. Its absolutely amazing especially on on hot summers day. They make there own drinks the cumumber/lime, hibiscus tea, watermelon juice, and I dont remember the other flavor. They give samples and you pick the drink you like. Hope this helps. Kim Robinson Always a favorite! Today was an impromptu celebration lunch with a dear friend, and the staff made certain that everything was absolutely perfect. The food was superlative, fresh, and flavorful, and the service was impeccable. We chose pasta Alfredo, which was creamy, richly sauced, and accompanied by delicious fresh green beans. We added dolmas and kalamata olives to round out our meal. It was perfection!! This place never disappoints!

tiffany I ordered (2) chicken katsu skewer platters - actually by mistake - I wanted the pork katsu but I ate the chicken anyway. No big deal - it was very delicious! The meat was super tender! WOW! It came with coleslaw, shrimp tempura, pickles, steamed rice, and 2 gyoza. I’ll definitely be back to try the ramen and definitely the takoyaki.
