lupita ramirez The passion fruit tea was a 10/10 it’s a good amount of sweetness and I downed it very fast. I also ordered the spicy malatang and it’s been my 5th time ordering, it’s so addicting and delicious. Reminds me of my favorite spot in my hometown. Honestly a hidden gem in davis especially for UC davis students. Come check this place out, definitely a good bang for your buck.

Chelsea Babin This place is incredible. We were greeted at the door by the friendliest staff. The vibes were dim, cozy, Cali chic and romantic. Our waiter Anthony could not have been friendlier and made us feel so special and taken care of. The food was exceptional and so unique we even ordered desert. They are a tequila/mezcal bar and had a great selection of cocktails- both very refreshing and garnished beautifully. I can’t compliment it enough.This place does not get enough credit. I will absolutely be back! 10/10.

Renan Müller Tonelli Santos Simply an incredible place. The music they play is great, and the beer truly impressed us — we really appreciate a good beer. The cheese fries and the chicken were absolutely delicious! We’re from Florida, and we can definitely say we’ll be coming back!

Stephanie Anne Best vegan southern soul food! We got the plate (collard greens, baked beans, Mac and cheese, and Tri tip) and Philly cheesesteak. The tri tip is a must have. Its got a meatball consistency. Collard greens is one of the best ones weve tasted in the nation. The baked beans had its own specialty, its BBQ but its got its own uniqueness to it. The Mac and cheese leans more on the garlicky side. The Philly cheesesteak is very good. It does lack the "meat"-like consistency. It felt like I was eating only the bread and the usual peppers, onions, jalapeños, cheese. Regardless, it was still delicious! My feedback is to get that consistency into the Philly cheesesteak and to lessen the use of plastic in their containers. We ate in, but was given a to-go containers in a plastic bag. Other than that -- I recommend eating here!

Elif Demirag We had an amazing experience at Sandbar & Grill. We’re in Monterey just for one day, and we’re so glad we chose this place. The food was absolutely delicious — everything we ordered was spot on. The service was just as great; our server was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Special thanks to the server with the nose piercing — you truly made our visit even better. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely come back if we’re ever in Monterey again.
