Shiva N This is THE best Iranian restaurant around. I’ll go as far as to say it’s better than famous places in LA like Raffis. And I’ve come here many times the food is consistent. I’ve tried all their foods from their kabobs like koobideh, the chicken with bone, the rack of lamb and they are all Sooo good! The koobideh is juicy and tasty ! The chicken with bone is JUICY. Iranian restaurants always overcook the chicken kabob So it’s dry and like rubber but this place NO! It’s PERFECT balance of crunchy outside but soft juicy and tasty inside . The rack of lamb is so juicy and tasty and doesn’t have the “lamb” smell and the meat was lean it was not fatty. I’ve also had their stews like the gheime which is sooo good. Their kashkebademjoon was also sooo good . Everything they make, they make it excellent they put a lot of effort in the quality and presentation.

M K Best pork chops and steaks ever. Never disappointed. Reservation recommended. We usually ordered curly fries while waiting. Meals served with bread and choice of two kinds of soup or salad from self-served salad bar.

Siddhi Kiran Bajracharya I highly recommend this spot for their jhol momo. The momo are satisfyingly large, and theyre generous with the extra sauce (hot ones). The lamb skewers with rice dish was also impressive, featuring large pieces of lamb and a substantial amount of rice. The green chutney that comes with skewers is also very good.

SuperNova 1987A I love Kalaveras! This place is beautifully decorated with vibrant Mexican-style calavera paintings that give it an authentic and festive vibe. There’s a huge TV perfect for watching sporting events, which makes it a great spot to hang out with friends or family. The service was top-notch—everyone was super attentive and friendly. We ordered the Molcajete, and it was absolutely delicious! It came loaded with beef, shrimp, chicken, avocado, nopales, and more. At $45, it’s definitely worth it and easily feeds two to three people. We also tried a flight of margaritas and a couple of their slushie margaritas—both were amazing and super refreshing. Overall, Kalaveras offers great food, an amazing atmosphere, and excellent service. Can’t wait to go back!

Luba Kharchenko Our recent dinner at Bantam restaurant in Santa Cruz was a delightful and memorable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the trendy and cool vibe of the place. Even on a Tuesday night, the restaurant was packed with diners, which added to its lively atmosphere. To start, we ordered a salad that was loaded with fresh vegetables, including crisp pickled cauliflower and tender asparagus. The flavors were fantastic and left us eager to try more. We opted for two pizzas - one with peppery arugula and Brigita cheese and another with creamy ricotta cheese and roasted eggplant. Both were expertly baked, with thin crusts that had just the right amount of chewiness. For dessert, we indulged in Bantams famous booty pudding - a rich and decadent bread pudding that left us feeling fully satisfied. One highlight of our meal was how small but thoughtfully curated their menu is. We felt like every item on it was there for a reason, carefully chosen to showcase Bantams focus on fresh ingredients and bold flavors. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Bantam and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Santa Cruz. We look forward to returning soon!
