5 /5 M K: Best pork chops and steaks ever. Never disappointed. Reservation recommended. We usually ordered curly fries while waiting. Meals served with bread and choice of two kinds of soup or salad from self-served salad bar.

5 /5 Jane Miha: We had a reservation and Bobby had our table set with water and silverware. It really makes you feel welcome! The food was amazing! Cooked on an open grill that is visible from the delicious and fresh salad bar! The baked potato was huge , fluffy, and served with whipped butter and sour cream, the table bread is garlic bread toasted on the grill, and you will eat too much. This is the type of meal that you get dessert with because you feel like youre on vacation. Go! And if its a Tuesday or a Wednesday, youll get Bobby too!

1 /5 Sheree Bartol: I was at the Tech room the other night with some friends could not get anybody to serve us drinks. Very sad finally did get our round of drinks, then went to the dining room. I ordered a cosmopolitan and it came in a whiskey glass so filled with ice there was no room for anything else very Disappointing, waitress horrible I will not be going back. It used to be a really fun place to go and the staff used to be really nice too bad. Stop

5 /5 C A “AC”: The 3 ladies working here were super sweet and incredibly helpful — they made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. I had steak and prawns with my family, and everything was perfect. It’s a charming restaurant in the middle of nowhere, but it’s absolutely worth the stop. I travel often between the USA and Europe, and I can honestly say the service here was among the best I’ve experienced. Highly recommend!

5 /5 Mary P: Btw. My account was hacked so I am writing this now. Visited Dec.20th..see receipt. Great casual place in Penn Valley( off of highway 20). This place has been around 60+ years and is a local favorite. They have a full bar that is separate from the restaurant and is always busy. They open for dinner at 530 pm(make reservations!) The food and service is awesome! I split a massive New Yorker that comes with one trip salad bar and fluffy baked potato AND garlic bread for 30 bucks! The food is cooked on an open fire where you can watch everything being cooked. The steak was juicy and definitely rivals any steak I have had at more expensive restaurants! The wait staff is super friendly and work really hard. SPECIAL thanks to Leslie with her outstanding service and great attitude! Janelle and Tammy B were all working hard with a smile - from server to cook to bartender these 3 women were rocking it! This is a very casual place with the customers also being friendly and genuinely having a good time! My experience was top notch and I will be back soon...oh and it smells yummy in the restaurant! Good job Tack Room employees!
