None The atmosphere is fantastic. You really feel transported to another place. We sit in the bar and Luis is very kind, thoughtful and prompt. He is easily relatable and humble and makes casual conversations very easily. The food is extraordinary. We start with chicharones which are absolutely delicious and are served on a mountain of excellent guacamole. Ive had the Chile verde which is great and has a nice kick to it. I recently had the relleno del mar which is out of this world! My wife had the hamburguesa especial and it was amazing! Weve eaten at many many restaurants in the area and this is our go to favorite when we visit Bakersfield. Highly recommended!

Blooojeans You have to try their brisket "cheesesteak"—its really a gourmet brisket sandwich that is miles better than any fast-food version. The spicy chicken sandwich is also seriously next-level! While the atmosphere is a little heavy on the bar vibe, the waiters were sweet and attentive. If youre hungry nearby, this is the only really good food option over the local deli, winery, or greasy spoon. The restaurant really should have its own listing. Oh, and if the owners read this, please open for breakfast so us locals have a place to go without leaving the area.

Bryan Glinski Absolutely phenomenal! O Bento is hands-down one of the best culinary gems in Humboldt County. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warm hospitality and a sense that this place really cares about quality — not just in food, but in service and vibe too. The bento boxes are beautifully presented and bursting with flavor — fresh, balanced, and thoughtfully crafted. The karaage chicken is crispy perfection, the salmon is buttery and tender, and the pickled veggies and sauces elevate everything. You can taste the love and precision in every bite. What really sets O Bento apart is the commitment to ingredients. Everything feels clean, wholesome, and nourishing without sacrificing an ounce of flavor. It’s the kind of spot that leaves you satisfied but energized, which is rare. If you’re passing through Humboldt or lucky enough to live nearby, this place is a must-visit. Easily one of my favorite meals in Northern California. Can’t wait to come back.

W chen Really good flavor on the noodle soup! Thai tea was good also. Friendly family owned take out restaurant in the back of Mercado. Must try!
