Filippis Pizza Grotto Chula Vista - (Near Chula Vista, CA)

2 /5 Lourdes Cueva: Arrived for dinner, host was attentive... she walked us back near the restrooms, retraurant was practically empty. 15 minutes passed by and no waiter/waitress came over, others stoped at the other tables. An additional 5 minutes later another waiter finally stopped by to ask for our drink order and to inform us that our waiter was "probably" on break. Finally our waiter showed but not after stopping to greet another patron at their table and take their order first (those patrons had just arrived and at that point we had been sitting there for 20 minutes). Still no drinks. We ordered our meals and waitress returned another 10 minutes later to inform us the kitchen no longer had what we wanted. At this point we should have left. We stayed and endured the meal, I was underwhelmed and disappointed. Waitress never checked back for drink refills and came back with check never asked if we wanted anything else. Left a very small tip but was hoping it went to the busboy (he at least was attentive and cleared empty plates in a timely manner). Overall unpleasant experience, will not return and will not recommend.

5 /5 Tamara Green: Such a cozy, old school pizzeria vibe! They offer pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and lots of Italian faves like lasagna and ravioli. Everything we have had from here has tasted great! My only critique - the food could sometimes be a little hotter. And the best part?! They have a large, free parking lot!

4 /5 Jasmin Quijada: Food was great! Good portion of food for the price But the service not that good our food took a long time to arrive we were 6 people there to eat.. And its not like the place was packed with people i think the take out orders were quicker than eating in!..

4 /5 Joe Dunlap: Ordered the chicken parmigiana with lasagna. It was very good and prices were quite reasonable. Would highly recommend for a great family meal that is reasonably priced.

2 /5 Marlene Silva: We walked in as a family of 4 adults and a child. We got seated and got our order taken. The salad arrived and we didn’t have any utensils which we had asked our server to provide them to start eating. Minutes went by and we were all just starring at the salad so we ended up grabbing utensils from an unoccupied table next to us. By the time our server came with utensils we had already started eating. No biggie, it happens and we were also hungry. We ordered the kids meal which includes a drink and a dessert. We got the kids lasagna and when it finally arrived it was barely warm and the meat sauce tasted like soap. We ordered a combination plate of spaghetti and ravioli and the pasta waa literally cold like they had it in the fridge and microwaved it for a few seconds and pulled it out before it even got warm. We also ordered the works pizza which also arrived barely warm to the point that the huge amount of once melted cheese that sit on top of the pizza was already solidified again so it was hard to even eat. Such a disappointing dinner. It was one of those times I honestly didn’t even want to leave a tip but my FIL is too nice and tipped anyway but we all agreed food and service was subpar to say the least. Oh and we never got the dessert that came with the kids meal
