Vals Burgers - Hayward

Rating: 4.6 /5
Eleni Jew Freshest meat I’ve ever had, cooked to order and prepared with all the fixings. Amazing burgers but cash only and carry-out. Burgers and fries are delivered to your car by friendly staff. It’s still a family owned business after 60 years!

Mosaic Restaurant - Redding

Rating: 4.1 /5
Edgar Patino I had an incredible dinner at Mosaic and can confidently say this place deserves all five stars. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding, warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The staff made us feel welcome and taken care of throughout the entire evening. The appetizers were a standout on their own. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly crispy and flavorful, the Red Curry Tomato Soup was so good that I ended up ordering it twice, and the shishito peppers were fresh, vibrant, and packed with just the right amount of heat. Every starter set the tone for an amazing meal. For the main courses, I ordered the Shrimp Pappardelle and the BGP pizza, and both dishes blew me away. The pasta was rich, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor, and the pizza was surprisingly fantastic. As a New Yorker, I have high standards for pizza, and this one absolutely held its own with great crust, balanced toppings, and bold flavors. We also tried a variety of cocktails, each one unique, beautifully presented, and delicious. It is clear the bar program puts real care into crafting creative and high quality drinks. The menu offered a wide range of options, and every plate that came out, from our table and around the room, looked amazing. You can tell this restaurant values quality ingredients and meticulous preparation. Overall, Mosaic delivered an exceptional experience from start to finish. Great food, great drinks, great people. I will absolutely be returning and recommending it to anyone looking for an elevated and memorable meal.

Volcano Asian Restaurant - El Centro

Rating: 4.3 /5
Nicole Gaxiola Volcano has always been my go to sushi spot. You hear from other places being great but this is my comfort spot. I dont have it as often since I moved further away from the area of it but I remember this restaurant would keep me company and well-fed in my college years. The food is delicious, you can taste the quality and the care the cooks have. The service as always is amazing and incomparable to other places. I come here all the time to celebrate something like i did for my finals, college graduation, mothers day, and my best friends birthdays plus mine. I wish the success of the restaurant and that it gets more customers!!

Sicilian Cafe - Chico

Rating: 4.6 /5
Linda Smith Absolutely awesome. When your job takes you all over the north state you end up eating out A LOT! A couple days ago if you asked whats my favorite restaurant, I would have said Blades and Barrels in Redding. Now I have a new favorite. We arrived at 3:45p Mis read the info and thought they started serving dinner at 3:30 but thats Happy hour. They start serving dinner at 4:30. Anyway the hostess went in the kitchen to see if they could start early. She came out and seated us right away in a lovely dining room with white linen and elegant table settings. Drinks first. Amazing. Then we ordered appetizers. Mushrooms and calamari. (We couldnt decide) Very generous portions for 2. We ate our fill and the waiter boxed up the leftovers right away. Also included was an antipasto plate and warm bread with an olive oil, balsamic dip. I LOVE THAT! Then came salad for me. Fresh greens & tomatoes with blue cheese dressing loaded with chunks of fresh blue cheese. Hubby had the minestrone.. of course I tasted it. It was the best Ive ever had. Homemade with fresh ingredients. Now were almost full but entrees were served. The timing of each course was exactly right. We each had a prawn dish. Beautifully presented and the flavor of the old world recipes were incomparable. I had the Siciliano garlic & olive oil sauce over a thin pasta. The other was prawns Alfredo. The waiter offered fresh grated Parmesan which we both accepted. Lots of left overs. I do not have even one thing that I wasnt over the top satisfied with. The price was what we usually pay for a high end dinner which usually left us wanting. So so very pleased. You should go.

Discovery Bar & Kitchen - Chico

Rating: 4.4 /5
Tanner Johns Discovery is an instant hit in Chico. Owned by Chico locals, the ambiance is exactly what Im looking for while dining out with family or stopping by for a drink at the bar. The restaurant, bar, and restrooms were all clean and the whole place felt comfortable and welcoming. The staff is friendly and the food was prepared quickly and was DELICIOUS. My chicken sandwich was excellent and I dont know what they fermented the coleslaw cabbage/carrots in but it was divine. Coleslaw can be such an afterthought at most restaurants but this was most definitely not the case. It was also served with a generous portion of string fries cooked excellently and not too greasy. Note: the picture of the chicken sandwich was after Id helped myself to a handful (or two) of fries. Mississippi Mud Cake was divine. My kids devoured the buttery noodles and grilled cheese sandwich. The whole family was VERY happy and well definitely be going back. I wish Id taken more photos before my family had devoured everything.

Chan Chao Thai Restaurant - Petaluma

Rating: 4.9 /5
L Wong One of the best Thai restaurants in Petaluma! Located in a cozy Victorian building on Petaluma Blvd North with front and back dining areas. Service was excellent and attentive. The menu has selections of traditional Thai foods, plenty of options to add meat, tofu, or protein-less dishes. We had Tom Yum Soup, Green Papaya Salad, Green Curry with Chicken, Pumpkin Curry with Tofu, and ended with Mango with Sticky Rice, and Fried Bananas with Coconut Ice Cream. Everything was delicious, flavorful, and fantastic. The portions are generous and very reasonable for the price. Theres a warning on the menu about spice levels, to be taken seriously. I like spicy foods and asked for the Papaya Salad to be mild, and it had more of a kick than anticipated, but tolerable. We had leftovers to take home and they provided a handled bag with an adorable hand drawn print on it. Overall an enjoyable and delicious experience.
