Sam GondoubleZ Absolutely delicious. I personally do not like Birria but they made some birria tacos de Rez for me and they were amazing. I also ordered the #1, a full chicken with beans and rice with salsa and it meets and exceeds expectations. I loved the experience. Nice friendly hospitable staff. I will definitely be back. 5 stars *****

Amazing Kitchen - Madera

Alma Barocio Great food, new clean restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, what more can I say? We came for a late dinner on a Thursday, not a busy night so we got our food pretty quickly and dined in. Everything was hot, fresh, and tasty. Im not sure where other reviewers said that the food was greasy or under seasoned. The only greasy item we received was the pot stickers which we dabbed down with a napkin but otherwise they were good. Meat and dumpling plates were tender and juicy, my stir fried green beans were crisp and crunchy. The chow main noodles had excellent flavor and the pork fried rice was chefs kiss. My husbands fried won tons according to him were some of the best he has had in the valley. With the exception of the pot stickers I have no complaints. The servings were very generous and we literally had leftovers for another meal or two. Their prices are also very competitive with other similar restaurants and the food is as good as the places I used to eat at in and around the bay area. 10/10 will eat here again.

BAD ANIMAL - Santa Cruz

Rating: 4.7 /5
K L Dope spot. One of the most enjoyable dining experiences I’ve had in Santa Cruz. It’s a hybrid bookstore, bar, and restaurant—and the concept actually delivers. The rotating chefs keep the menu fresh and the flavors dynamic. I caught Chef Lailita Kaewsawang’s Thai menu (Summer 2025), and it was easily some of the best Thai I’ve had in a minute. Bold, balanced, and deeply flavorful. The menu small but intentional selection. You can revisit and try everything without getting overwhelmed. Operationally smart and encourages repeat visits (in my opinion). I enjoyed their wine— which they sourced from small production estates. It’s thoughtfully curated and designed to complement the rotating cuisine. The book store vibe was impressive within itself. Definitely an added layer of intellectual texture to the space. If you’re not into books - their selections will catch your eye. Overall: Bad Animal isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a whole mood. The rotating chef model keeps things fresh, the bookstore adds depth, and the food delivers. Thai night was a standout. Would absolutely return to see what’s next on the culinary rotation—and maybe grab a bottle and a book while I’m at it. The staff was warm, knowledgeable, and on point. Indoor and outdoor seating available—both cozy, both functional.

AH HUEVO! - Stockton

agneta almendares The original restaurant we were going to was closed so we called AH HUEVO to see if they could accommodate 11 people and even though they dont take same day reservations they took us all in! The food was delicious and the service was literally outstanding! The waitresses were super attentive and friendly and spoke both Spanish and English which was amazing. I had their MICHELADA FLIGHT yup you saw that right and it was delicious and I had their quesabirria and that was also bomb. Everyone at my table finished their plates and everyone loved their food. Dont sleep on this gem!

Hotel Sutter - Sutter Creek

Maree Carrington-Woodard This is a century old hotel that has been beautiful renovated. The rooms are authentic, but every part has been renovated and look great. Every person working there is committed to your service. We had appetizers on the balcony, overlooking a small town. The main street may not be that long, but the list of things to do is! From wine and bubbly tasting, to homemade chocolates and coffees, to a small theater or arts and antiques; it has something for everyone!

D Laz Two Hands Corndogs is underrated. Got some beers and corndogs at 11:30AM. Was a good time. Great vibes. Good for family too. Also I called Anex to ask if something was open and someone answered in 5 seconds and told me. Coming back for the ramen.
