Patrick Darrow Serina and her team spoiled us with an incredible custom menu and a stress free wedding reception. It’s not an exaggeration to say she worked tirelessly to incorporate personalized themes so that each dish was a reflection of us. The night of, they facilitated happy hour, appetizers, open bar, mocktails, dinner, cake cutting, and dancing. We are very grateful for their partnership.

None The atmosphere is fantastic. You really feel transported to another place. We sit in the bar and Luis is very kind, thoughtful and prompt. He is easily relatable and humble and makes casual conversations very easily. The food is extraordinary. We start with chicharones which are absolutely delicious and are served on a mountain of excellent guacamole. Ive had the Chile verde which is great and has a nice kick to it. I recently had the relleno del mar which is out of this world! My wife had the hamburguesa especial and it was amazing! Weve eaten at many many restaurants in the area and this is our go to favorite when we visit Bakersfield. Highly recommended!

Sergio Ruiz First & Main offered a variety of drink options we ordered off of their seasonal drink menu. The drinks were well balanced. For appetizers, we ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp and the Crispy Rock Shrimp Roll, both dishes were delicious. For our entrees we ordered the Salmon and Thai Shrimp Coconut Curry. The salmon was cooked to the temperature we requested, the sauce was creamy and tasty, the broccoli had a bit of char but tasted as if they were only steamed. The Thai Shrimp Coconut Curry was sweet but not overly sweet the coconut was not overpowering overall the dish was very flavorful and well balanced. I would recommend this restaurant to family and friends.

Benoit Sigoure Delicious authentic Mexican fare. The chile verde super burrito was very tasty and very filling.

Eric Breakfast burrito - bacon, onion, jalapeno, potato, monterey jack. Perfection. The salsa was pretty mild so it wont overwhelm more sensitive palates. It went well with the burrito above. The onion rings are LEGIT. I would pop in just for an order of those, and I probably will in the future.

Brian Olson This review is specific to my experience at the pub. The food is spectacular but that doesn’t tell the whole story. For breakfast we were met by our server whose name is Eric. He was just a humble, kind, servant. In conversation with him we came to find out that Eric was not only our server but also the chef who runs the kitchen and the wait staff. We were blown away. The food was soooo good. While dining there I noticed pictures of him with the kitchen and wait staff. I could tell this was a tight-knit team. While having dinner there it was busy and I saw him interact with the wait-staff in a positive way. I could tell that he respects and likes his team and they feel the same about him. It all made for a super-positive vibe! This is unusual in the hospitality and restaurant world. At dinner Chef Eric asked us if we would be staying for breakfast the following morning. We told him we couldn’t stay as we had to get to work early. That night he prepared a delicious frittata, and added a scone and granola/parfait for my wife and I and had it in the hotel fridge that we could grab and go in the morning. He went way above and beyond. I will never forget his humility, kindness and true hospitality.
