5 /5 Todd I: A “happy times super-store.” We’re from a small Colorado mountain town and were visiting family in the area for T-giving. We were searching for an apple pie, and omg they offered so many kinds of fresh baked pies! We also got multiple pot pies for the T-giving eve dinner, and they were a big hit. Super meaty. Ikeda’s was also our last stop before heading home, and we stocked up on fruit butters, sourdough breads, etc. You Auburn people are lucky to have Ikeda’s… we have nothing like it back home.

5 /5 Michael W.: I have one more place I must stop on my way to Reno or the Sierra after I visit Ikeda’s Market. I love this place! It is a store and restaurant where I can get all the yummy stuff and have my lunch at the same time at one stop when I’m going on my camping trips. The market has almost everything I want plus the delicious pies I can eat there and bring a couple more to my camping. I know my friends will love me when they taste the pies. The customer service at Ikeda’s Market is excellent and fast. I like the huge selection of salsas available with the sample. I can make my decision based on my preferences. Good jobs! Ikeda’s.

1 /5 ALB: The prices just keep going up, up, up! And definitely not worth the hype! I used to stop here on my drives home to Tahoe after the Machados sold their orchard/business. But my last visit was it for us. No more. We got cinnamon bread for $10.99 that was stale (fortunately I could make bread pudding with it). On three separate occasions we bought fresh raspberries that were mush and mold underneath the top layer (to be fair, they offered a refund). We used to get their whole wheat fig bars - 12-15 in a package for about $6.99 and now we get 10-12 for $15.99. A medium sized bag of tortilla chips or corn nuts is $7.99. A bag of roasted green beans is $20.00 (that one made my jaw drop to the floor). A six pack of their homemade oatmeal cookies used to be $4.99, now theyre $7.99 (maybe $8.99) for 4 cookies. Its one thing to increase prices but to also decrease the quantity of the product is just not right. In some cases were paying double for half of what we used to get. We recognize that minimum wage has gone up, etc but this is no longer a farm stand, its become a yuppified "gourmet" market that is more expensive than Whole Foods. The staff is generally cordial and they have alot of business/people willing to pay these prices so good for them and we wish them continued success, but we will no longer support this business. We miss Machado Orchards!!!!

5 /5 Eve Morgan: Ikeda’s never disappoints! The root beer float is nostalgic perfection — creamy, fizzy, and absolutely worth the stop. Their hamburgers are always fresh and flavorful, and the open fruit -bakery market is such a fun bonus with so many seasonal goodies to explore. Don’t leave without grabbing the chocolate chip oatmeal cookies (they’re addictive!) and the tamales — they’re always a family favorite. A must-stop spot every time I pass through!
