Raegan Newman This was my first time here and it was a lovely experience. Edwin took care of me and he was exceptional. Very knowledgeable and attentive, but not overly attentive. I came in for lunch one day after an appointment and sat in the bar area and started with a lovely skinny jalapeño margarita which Edward made, and it was perfect. Nice and tart with the right amount of heat. I started with the bruschetta and I must say, the flavors of basil, garlic, and tomato and olive oil were just fabulous! I do like my toasted bread more crunchy though and with all the juicy tomatoes on top it soaked it up so maybe next time I’ll order the bruschetta in a bowl and the toast on the side. Then I have the salmon affimicato Ruffano on a bed of garlic spinach with a side of horseradish sauce and micro greens. The brown sugar was nice and caramelized, and it was a nice thick piece of meat, but one side was a little overdone and the other was a tiny bit underdone. Spinach was lovely and the micro greens were a nice touch with a squeeze of lemon on it. I must say though I could not taste any heat or any horseradish in the actual horseradish sauce. Atmosphere and ambience are absolutely lovely. Beautiful large outdoor patio with cozy little cabana type table seating along the side as well. Nice bar area with TVs and cozy booth seating and then a lovely interior of the restaurant. Valet parking in front. Prices are not too shabby for what you get. Will definitely be back!

Enea Ostrich The wait was typical for a restaurant that makes their dishes from scratch:). Superb food. I really liked their Chilean Sea Bass with two large shrimp (they really looked like prawns to me!). It was over a scrumptious risotto. My husband had the Short Rib Pasta (there was a longer name but it reminded me of a ragu). Anyhow our party of 7 had wonderful foods prior to the main meal too. There was a prosciutto burrata appetizer that w as nice and also the calamari fritti was fried lightly and tasty by husband said. I think that overall we all had a grand New Years Eve at Antonellos. It was decorated really nice for the holidays.

Aileen V Came here for my sisters bridal shower dinner. There was 14 of us. It’s such a beautiful place. Especially in the evening. We sat outside which is so spacious. At night the trees light up and it’s even prettier. Our server Jay was awesome. He made sure to check up on us constantly and got our order and food at a decent amount of time. The food was delicious!!! We ordered appetizers, pastas, steak and dessert. And it was all amazing. Reservation process was easy and even though I had to change the amount of people a few times they were super nice every time I called to change it or responded quick on the Open table app. Totally recommend this restaurant for special occasions.

Meng Qi Our dinner at Lure last night was the perfect highlight to a deliberate detour. We’re on a road trip to Los Angeles, but purposefully chose Ventura as a mid-point stop to visit Patagonia’s headquarters. My partner, a graduate student at UCB, is researching a capstone project on Patagonia’s business philosophy. For us, this visit is about more than research, and it’s about physically connecting with the city and the ethos that Patagonia embodies. A huge shout-out to the team at Lure! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food was excellent, the ambiance was perfect, and the service was outstanding. Highlights: The weekday happy hour (3 PM–6 PM) is a true gem. Standouts include the amazing charbroiled oysters ($8 for three) and the delicious crab cakes served with greens. Don’t miss the chowder. Its an absolute must-order at just $3. I’ve attached the menu for reference. Overall, it’s a fantastic offering of great food at an affordable price. Service & Atmosphere: The staff was wonderfully welcoming and efficient. Our food arrived incredibly quickly, with virtually no wait. As someone who often gets nervous ordering and tends to mispronounce things, I especially appreciated our waitresss patience and kindness as she helped confirm my order. Another highlight is the space itself. The decor strikes a perfect balance between modern and cozy, with comfortable bar seating. It was lovely to see several solo diners there, genuinely enjoying their meals. My experience at Lure was truly memorable. I feel lucky to have dined there, and it certainly made Ventura feel all the more likable. I can’t recommend it enough.

Julianne Evans What a great place! The food was divine. Intimate setting with the most delightful staff. Loved it here. They had so many options to choose from and everything was made from scratch! Only 11 tables so make reservations! Even their desserts were all homemade on site.

DAVID MENDOZA My sister treated me for my birthday. It was a fantastic meal. Salad bar is amazing. Meats were seasoned perfectly and the service is impeccable. Will be returning for special occasions.
