Andrew Schwafel I love the consistency in the Black Bear Diners. This time I tried the meatloaf which was amazing. The family also had the club sandwich and my breakfast item of pancakes. All of which created a second meal to take home for the next day. The place was not too loud and consistent with other diners. Great food in great service.

Mike Chance Sam Cafe looks like it’s been revamped. It’s clean, well lit, with a demure vibe. We ordered the khao soi noodle soup, fried chicken appetizer, and thai style papaya salad. All great dishes. The owner came out, greeted, and chatted with all his guests like they were all regulars. They even have freshly made hot foods to-go. The place is right off HW99 so if you’re ever passing through Merced, I’d highly recommend.

Andrew Wright Sidecar was an awesome experience. We were back in town for a wedding and it was our first time at the new location. We sat on the patio overlooking the stream and it was great! The drinks were excellent (as expected) and the food was awesome as well! Highly recommend the Chicago dog and the brussel sprouts.

Jason Williams What i loved most of the food is that the meat in the Chili Colorado burrito was grilled first. It had a beautiful char. The chips were warm and salsa was above average. The rice and beans was how it should be. Lots of televisions to watch sports. The service was really nice and did the job well. I recommend not getting booth if someone is behind it. I felt every little move.

Tabitha Sanchez My family had a wonderful lunch here today. The food was so fresh and delicious. We started with the Masterpiece appetizer. It had oysters, poke, sushi, shrimp and scallops. Everything had the best flavor and texture. For our entrees, our daughter got the kids fish and chips, my husband got the bone in ribeye and I had the fishermans stew. All came out hot and fresh lol of flavor. My husbands steak was perfectly cooked and very tender. My daughters fish and chips had the perfect amount of breading and my fishermans stew was packed with seafood. Everything was amazing and we will definitely be back.
