5 /5 Jaz C: oh god i don’t think i’ve ever waffled down food as fast as I ever have than with Lou’s. their pork belly is amazing & the sauce coated the rice so well. tantalised myself with the monterey bay squid salad too & it was so fresh & cooked perfectly. delightful!
5 /5 Allison Yamamoto: Our favorite “treat yo self” lunch spot. Do not come if you’re seeking a “quick fix” for your hunger. Good food takes time to prepare. The care & creativity of the takeaway plates have always satisfied our deepest cravings. Thank you to Lou & the team for always preparing such good meals for the soul. Also, sometimes the owner comes out to greet us as we’re waiting in line. Little things like that make it a true neighborhood joint.
5 /5 Miranda Rider: Our family is obsessed with Lou’s, the food, people, quality, and menu variety is always absolutely amazing. A true Marin gem!!
5 /5 K Rippens: It took a pandemic to get us out of our Saturday lunch rut. Wed been wanting to try Lous and suddenly it was the only place nearby to get a meal. Weve hardly eaten anywhere else since ! The flavors! The freshness, quality, and overall deliciousness! Generous portions and great service. This kind of excellence is truly rare!
Angela Lindseth Honey walnut shrimp was DELICIOUS. Atmosphere was beautiful and the service was exceptional. I will never forget our delicious meal there.
Cortney Nickel Visited the Fish & Chips Cafe right next door to the Abalonetti and found out they’re actually connected. The Bar and Grill is perfect for a cozy lunch inside but the Fish & Chips Cafe next door is perfect for a quick bite outside on the wharf. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was DELICIOUS. I ordered 5 fresh oysters for only $3.00 a piece, definitely couldn’t beat that. My daughters ordered the clam chowder bread bowls and devoured them! The bread was fresh and the soup was hot. We will definitely be returning next time we’re in Monterey.
Riddle Crystal (Boo) Best place to go for seafood in the Concord Area. Jessica was absolutely amazing. Her service was absolutely impeccable. We brought my 90 year old grandma here as she’s never been to a seafood boil spot and she made sure to ask her what she likes and helped her order! She also made drink suggestions which I couldn’t live without! I got a crab boil with shrimp and mussels and the spice was GREAT!! The spicy is perfect enough without being to the point of not being able to eat it. The food came out hot. My grandma had the Hawaiian shrimp with garlic noodles. She got the sauce on the side just incase she didn’t like it and she loved it. Thank you so much for celebrating her birthday with us!!
M J (Texas Foodie) Nice location. Small bar but large outdoor patio. Tried the butternut squash soup that was ‘ok’ but wouldn’t order again. Overly sweet and only warm. Edamame dumplings were delicious as usual and the prickly pear sparkler was nice.
yung-chin Chen We order ox tails and lamb chops per recommendation of the restaurant for traditional basque food. They are so good. Ox tail is so tender and tasty. It matches the rice well. The lamb chop is also good but volume is smaller and the French fries is so so. We add soup and salad. It is totally worth it. The price is not cheap but with the quality and quantity it is justified. No wonder it has so many good reviews.
Jessica Lasconia I can honestly say that the Denver Omelet was probably one of the best I ever had. It was tasty, and the vegetables and ham was cooked to perfection. Service was great, the atmosphere was great, good music was playing in the background which made for a great dining experience.
