True Food Kitchen - (Near Palo Alto, CA)

3 /5 Aja: First time at this location no wait to be seated arrived at 2:30pm for late lunch, Were seated at a dirty table with the the receipt left, no flat wear or wine glasses like the table next to ours. Our waiter/server was not attentive at all. Said that we would be getting a new one in a bit, showed back up and said the he was staying. Seems as though he was more interested in conversation with the manager 2 tables over. Food was good. But we had to ask for Pizza with fresh ranch sauce, parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes and ketchup for our shared fries, which came with buffalo sauce. Tenders and fries were over cooked. Burger with one pickle, was good lettuce wrapped due to Gluten allergy. We were not asked to have drinks refilled. Had to stand and almost leave to get our bill. Would eat here again but will say something if we have that same service.

4 /5 Vash: I grabbed dinner here and started with the Mediterranean hummus with the red pepper pistachio spread and baked flatbread. That dish was easily the highlight. The hummus was flavorful, the spread added a great pop, and the flatbread felt fresh, thin, and lighter since it wasn’t fried. For the main, I ordered the ancient grain salad because the photo looked great, but it didn’t hit the mark. The grilled chicken add-on was undercooked and tough to chew, I actually had to spit one bite out. The snap peas and onions felt unnecessarily oily and threw off the balance of the dish. The restaurant itself is very spacious with great upscale interiors and the server was genuinely kind and attentive. Based on my experience, the food felt hit-or-miss. I’d go back for the hummus and maybe explore other mains next time.

5 /5 M J (Texas Foodie): Nice location. Small bar but large outdoor patio. Tried the butternut squash soup that was ‘ok’ but wouldn’t order again. Overly sweet and only warm. Edamame dumplings were delicious as usual and the prickly pear sparkler was nice.

5 /5 Lam Tran: Had another wonderful meal at True Food Kitchen Palo Alto! The atmosphere was bright and relaxed, and the service was spot-on — friendly, attentive, and welcoming as always. The grilled grass-fed tenderloin was beautifully cooked and full of flavor, paired perfectly with the fresh, colorful sides. Everything looked just as good as it tasted. It’s always a pleasure dining here — consistent quality, great vibes, and food that feels both satisfying and wholesome. Highly recommend!

5 /5 Rhett Burden: Had such a wonderful lunch at True Food Kitchen in Palo Alto today with my 4-year-old! This place really impressed me - the atmosphere is so welcoming and the decor is absolutely stunning. I love how open and bright it feels with all the natural light and beautiful design touches. My little one was thrilled with the kids cheese pizza it was the perfect size and she devoured every bite. I went with the turkey burger and sweet potato hash, and wow, everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. You can really tell they put care into sourcing quality ingredients. The staff was super friendly and patient with my daughter, which always makes dining out with kids so much easier. The whole experience felt relaxed and enjoyable rather than rushed. It’s not always easy to find a place that has great food for adults while still being kid-friendly, but True Food Kitchen nails it. Will definitely be back - already thinking about what to try next time! Highly recommend for families or anyone looking for fresh, delicious food in a beautiful setting.
