Todd Schwiesow This is a great example of a well managed restaurant. I wish there were more like this! It starts immediately when you walk in and notice the pleasantly elegant yet understated decor. The tables, the glass and silverware are all beautiful. The service is prompt and exceptionally professional. There is an interesting original cocktail menu and a decent wine selection. The menu is concise and creative, balancing traditional offerings with new ideas. Our table tried a variety of the offerings from the salmon to the schnitzel. It was all good! The smaller size menu still has enough variety for everyone to find something they like. The desert options are also quite tasty. If youre looking for elegant European food in a lovely setting you must attend! Reservations recommended.

Joe S We walked in on a Wednesday night celebrating a great work day; slightly nervous because it was a hour before closing. We were welcomed warmly and never felt rushed during our meal. Food and drinks were tasty. Decor is nice. Will come back!

HOME - Soquel

Rating: 4.6 /5
Alejandro Blanco We had such a fantastic experience at Home in Soquel. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for the night. The ambiance feels both cozy and elevated, the kind of place we instantly wanted to come back to. The food was absolutely amazing — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell the chefs really care about what they’re putting on the plate. On top of that, the service was outstanding. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, and they made the whole experience feel personal. It’s rare to find a place that nails the food, the ambiance, and the service all at once, but Home pulls it off beautifully. Easily one of our new favorite spots in the area. Highly recommend!

The Lobster - Santa Monica

Rating: 4.3 /5
Genevieve Leveille The usual adage is a great view equals bad food and bad service. The Lobster negates that saying 100 folds. Being across from the Santa Monica Pier with a view to die for, the food is nothing to sneeze at. The freshness of the oysters and the amazing temperature of the lobster was perfect. We tried the clam chowder and love the crunchiness of the celery and the velvety broth filled with Clams not bits but huge pieces. The crab fried rice was amazing and a great folder for the buttery spiny lobster. The chowder was served by the chef and the whole restaurant was at our service in a very non intrusive way. Andrew our waiter was amazing. His attitude and recommendations were on point. I had to skip the Expresso Martini as it would have been a tip too much. Now what we cannot wait for is that hour during happy hour when the oysters are a gift. As at $2 it is a major give away. About to take a wonderful nap while still having dreams of the amazing lunch. Thank you, The Lobster.
