Savoie Italian Eatery - Chula Vista

Susan Brownlee Got here ten minutes before brunch was going to end, but we were able to get our order in time. The food was really good. I had pancakes and they forgot to put the strawberry mascarpone, but they brought a side of it. It was delicious, as were the pancakes. The drinks were also good. They had a bunch of specialty drinks. The bartender was nice and answered any questions we had.

Matt Kobulnick Highly highly highly recommend the tasting menu. It’s a type of cuisine you don’t often get a chance to try. You might as well get to experience the full range of it. And man did it deliver. Absolutely loved it and will be back

Mission Ranch Restaurant - Carmel

Rating: 4.6 /5
Lori Rittinger We enjoyed a wonderful brunch at Mission Ranch! A gorgeous day in October. We sat on the back patio. It was about a 30 minute wait but we had a delicious Bloody Mary & listened to the piano player while we waited. Wide selection of food from salads, salmon, omelets, prime rib & lots of desserts. I felt the price of $45 was well worth it. Delicious food & amazing views. Highly recommend!

Oswald Restaurant - Santa Cruz

Jake Byman We loved Oswald. We had heard it referenced as a classic spot in Santa Cruz, so it had been on our list for a while. The burger was, easily, the best burger Ive had in Santa Cruz. They cooked it perfectly medium rare, and the add-ons to the burger were wonderful. The Dungeness crab was solid as well (though in my opinion a bit overpriced at $36 for the quantity). Would definitely recommend as a whole!

Taste Restaurant and Wine Bar - Plymouth

Rating: 4.7 /5
Sharon We stopped by Amador County’s Shenandoah Valley to pick up our wines and were delighted to stumble upon The Taste — such a wonderful surprise! Chef Micha welcomed us with warmth and shared locally foraged end-of-season boletes — firm, rich with umami, and absolutely unforgettable. The venison, perfectly cooked and paired with chanterelles, was autumn on a plate. And the fig cream pie — with silky vanilla pudding, fresh figs, candied pecans, and fig purée — was the perfect sweet finale. Every detail reflected care, creativity, and the beauty of the season.

Anita Mazer We lost at Chumash Casino — and honestly, we didn’t even care, because dinner completely made up for it. The ribeye steak was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Absolutely perfect. Everything we ordered was incredible — the lobster bisque was so good I don’t even have words for it. The mushrooms, the mac and cheese… every single bite was a wow. By the time we got to dessert, my daughter and I just looked at each other and agreed: this is the WOW steak place. Truly outstanding food. Worth it 100%.
