Monarca Restaurant - (Near Paso Robles, CA)

3 /5 A.K. Morales: We went here pursuing fresh squeezed OJ after a long night out. We were a party of 7. Beverages were excellent some of the food we order was good others were not. I ordered the surf & turf skillet & the shrimp were pungent. I bit into one & it had a fishy taste. I proceeded to let the server know that they should check them before serving to other guest. They did not compensate me for the shrimp. Also, my friend who was celebrating her bday, whom is about 120lbs was sitting in a chair when one of the front legs collapsed. Not at all did they try to accommodate this fall besides wiping the table off from where she spilled her drink. Not great empathy for guests in my opinion.

5 /5 Martha Cortes: Me and my husband are visiting Paso Robles, we went to Monarca to try some food today and my husband asked to server Annie for a recommendation and we decide to eat shrimp tacos and they were really good. The Orange juice was fresh and natural, I loved it. The server was nice with us.

5 /5 Nanette Madding: Meeting a friend for breakfast and we decided to try Monarca, as we are always looking for something good locally. This was a hit. The waitress brought ice water right away and then coffee which was delicious. We talked about being more adventurous but both ended up ordering the same thing. I had ham and eggs with sourdough toast and fruit instead of hash browns or home fries. She had the same except with home fries. The eggs were done perfectly and just as we asked. Her potatoes were very good as was my fruit dish. The waitress asked several times if we wanted more coffee but was not overbearing. One thing I noticed upon arrival which doesn’t affect the food at all but the coffee cups and water glasses were beautifully imprinted in gold with the Monarca logo. Just a little extra. We sat at our table for almost two hours catching up and never felt like we were being pushed to leave. I will order more adventurously next time. The chilaquiles and eggs Benedict looked wonderful. In addition, the prices were extremely reasonable. I’m having lunch there next week!

4 /5 Paul Terry: Went for lunch on a weekday. Good food, good service. But there was music playing, too loud in my opinion. Not background music at at that volume level. And it was obviously a free streaming service because about every 3 minutes, you heard a minute of commercials. Then, half the time a song would be interrupted in the middle of the song with either a commercial, or...another song. About 15 minutes in, we heard the same song that was playing when we walked it. Weird and annoying.
