Nayos Restaurant - (Near Mariposa, CA)

1 /5 Dev Kit009: We came on a Friday night with high hopes, thanks to the rave reviews online. We were one of only two tables, but were immediately told by the staff that there were only two people working and we might have a wait. We understood, and placed our order for six people. Unfortunately, from that point on, everything was a struggle. We had to chase down our server for our drinks, extra plates, and napkins. While the food itself was actually quite good, the plates came out steaming hot without any warning, and we constantly felt like a bother just to get basic service. The constant follow-up needed on our part completely overshadowed the quality of the meal. This was one of the rare times that Google reviews have completely failed us.

5 /5 Christopher Adlam: The quesabirrias are the best I’ve ever had. I keep getting quesabirrias up and down the west coast and even in Mexico, but these are still unequalled. Hand made tortillas, generous on cheese and meat, perfectly crispy, and the consomé is delicious too. Sometimes service is slow because of limited staff. I don’t care, it’s still worth it! I eat here every time I’m in Mariposa. In fact I’ve had quesabirrias for every meal the last three days!!

5 /5 Iris Sanders: The food was excellent! Very authentic and tasty! Cooked by a very sweet Mexican Mama! Wish I could have told her how great it was! My best experience with Mexican food so far! Too bad I live too far away. Id become a regular otherwise.

5 /5 Kelvin Ong: We got into Mariposa at about 1pm and was recommended by our Airbnb host to try out Nayos for their tacos. We ordered the super tacos which have avocado and mozzarella on top of the regular tacos. The carnitas are by far the best ones I ever had (but Im from Singapore where there are not much Mexican food, so take what you want from it). You can skip the chicken tacos if you want to, its not much. The staff was really nice and friendly but the place seemed a lil bit too dark for the afternoon.
