Ralph G The appetizers were good and you could make a meal out of them and the sides. I liked the fried fish, anchovies and the meatballs with yogurt sause was great. I had the lamb chops which were excellent including the crispy potatoes and sauses. Wife had shrimp which she liked. We were in the larger group room which was a little noisy but they have outside seating and other rooms that are quieter. The service was great.

Matthew Tominaga For being a local, this was my first time at Absinthe. I always wanted to come, just never the right day or it was too busy. The food was excellent. I recommend the Birds of a Feather, salade lyonnaise, and the beef bourguignon. The tartare, escargot, pan roasted duck breast, and steak frites are also just as good. Ethan S., our server, was the best. Hes a local San Franciscan from the Outer Sunset who went to Galileo. He knew we had a lot to drink and gave us aspirin to combat the booze.

Stephanie S Absolutely amazing experience! My boyfriend and I decided to try out this restaurant after hearing great things, and it did not disappoint. Our server, Allie (Alessandra), was outstanding! She was so informative, offered recommendations, and drink parings. Our dinner and drinks were delicious, and the overall ambiance was impeccable. We will definitely be coming back & bringing friends and family along! :)

nikita patel Waited 2 hours to get seated and it was so worth it. Most incredible slices of meat we’ve ever had. The ‘menu was very straight forward and we loved the ambiance of the restaurant. We got the strawberry shortcake for dessert too. 10/10 perfect place for a special occasion

Matt Kobulnick Highly highly highly recommend the tasting menu. It’s a type of cuisine you don’t often get a chance to try. You might as well get to experience the full range of it. And man did it deliver. Absolutely loved it and will be back

Arbi Sookazian Absolutely awesome dining experience for our 18th anniversary outing on a busy Saturday night in Pasadena. Started off at the bar for drinks with Zack the bartender. Then transitioned to the center booth for appetizers and main courses. Sea bass and yellow tail tuna was very tasty as was the bread/butter, beet salad and steak tartare appetizer. They even gave us a free happy anniversary dessert it was delicious. Ambiance is lively, crowded, fun. We waited 45 mins for a table. Drinks were very good overall (mixed and beer). Restroom was very clean. No complaints whatsoever; we’ll be back soon, highly recommended.
