1 /5 Jessica: Very disappointing experience due to extremely poor and unorganized service.
We went to Saigon Noodles in Salinas with a group of four. We ordered seafood noodle soup, stir-fried garlic noodles with shrimp, stir-fried noodles with beef, and popcorn chicken with fries for a kid. Only the seafood soup and the popcorn chicken with fries came out. The other two noodle dishes never arrived.
We also asked for 3 extra bowls, which didn’t come either. After waiting, we had to wave down a man walking around the restaurant to ask for the bowls, which arrived about 7 minutes later.
The waitress disappeared for about 15 minutes. When we finally waved her down and told her we were still missing food, she said she would check but never came back. Since two people had already finished eating, we went to the front and asked to have the remaining two noodle dishes made to go. She apologized and said okay.
After waiting another 20 minutes, the waitress came back and asked if we needed anything. We told her we were still waiting on our to-go order. She then said she thought we had canceled the two noodle dishes, which we absolutely did not. She said she would check to see if the kitchen could make them.
At that point, after so much waiting and confusion, we decided to just pay and leave to get food elsewhere for the other two people. When we went to pay, the cashier tried to charge us for all the food, including the two dishes we never received. Thankfully, those were removed, and we only paid for what actually came out.
The service was very poorly managed, slow, and disorganized. No follow-up, no communication, and way too much waiting for such a simple order. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back.
