The Berkeley Boathouse - (Near Berkeley, CA)

Naomi Alfaro Celebrated a birthday today with coworkers! When we got to the venue we were seated right away, the restaurant has yet to get busy, (5 pm on a Sunday) but it was full when we left. We had great service. We ordered a pitcher of Strawberry margaritas to share. Chips were served right away. The order was taken immediately after all party members appeared to be ready to order (closed menus). Dinner was served promptly. We had a variety of dishes including steak fajitas, shrimp cocktail, floutas, enchiladas, queso birra, and a cheeseburger. We had a party of 7 and gratuity was included in the bill. Parking is limited.

Bansari Patel Came across this gem last week! In town from work, and always looking for good local (non-chain) restaurants. Had the pleasure of being greeted by the owner, Gabe..very kind and sweet man! Its wonderful when you can walk into a place and feel the high aura of energy and feel very welcomed, especially when you dine out by yourself often. Sat at the bar, conversations kept me company! Trying to choose Healthier food options since I dine out for a living...& the Chopped Thai Salad was delicious, creative and filling ingredients crafted into a salad and quite generous portion; (made a great leftover lunch the next day). Truffle fries with aioli were also a great choice! Thanks for having me and great food and kindness. Hope to be back this week!

Damon Tighe Great place for breakfast or lunch. It does get busy, but the staff does a great job of staying ontop of everything. Indoor and outdoor seating.

The Only Real Trinity I’m down from LA on business in Vallejo and wanted to try this place. Sometimes I’m a little leery because flavors can vary, but this restaurant did not disappoint. The service is great and the food is awesome. The shrimp spring rolls are bomb—I’d suggest adding Thai basil for even more flavor. The pho was excellent, and I ordered the rare steak. Everything was fresh and well prepared. I’ve already been back twice and will definitely keep coming while I’m up here for work. Not sure if it was the manager or owner, but they were very nice as well. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend.

Kevin Drost Hook Fish Co. is a cool little counter-style spot with outdoor seating and a fun, lively vibe. I got the fish and chips with black cod—you can choose any of their fish to be battered, which is awesome. The batter was super crispy, seasoned perfectly, and the fish just melted in my mouth. They also have a habanero carrot salsa that you have to try—it adds a sweet heat that takes the fish to the next level. Overall, really great spot for fresh seafood. I loved the fish and chips and definitely want to come back to try their fish burrito—it looked amazing

Chris Auyeung An underrated gem of a restaurant in San Francisco. Get the shrimp toast, binchotan grilled pork neck, and the pickle party! I first experienced food & hospitality from Chef Chris and Marcelle before they had a brick & mortar; they had catered a friends wedding and it was the absolute best wedding food Id ever had. When planning my own wedding this year, I immediately thought of their team. They were so flexible and great to work with, even with our unconventional vision of having hot pot at our wedding. We got tons of comments from our guests about it being some of the best hot pot they had ever had - super high quality vegetables and meats, and super delicious housemade broths and sauces. They only do a couple of events a year - Id absolutely highly recommend them for private event catering!!
