Meat On Ocean - Santa Monica

Rating: 4.4 /5
Jeff Turner The restaurant had a quaint, New Orleans style vibe with a warm atmosphere and one heckuva meat selection. The atmosphere was warm and inviting with low-key lighting a back room where the meats are aged and a very solid wine selection. The food overall was absolutely delicious. We had Valentina as our server and she was amazing (we were in town on a work conference). I had a "chefs choice" charcuterie board, tried a bone-in ribeye, and there were several menu items to choose from including a specialty menu for meat selections. We sat across from the room where the meats were being aged and of course, whats more mouth-watering than that (to a meat-lover of course)? Overall, it was an amazing experience from start to finish and I highly recommend this location, especially if you are craving some top-line meat selections.

D L Cooked promptly. Healthy ingredients. Bright and clean environment. I would come back. Only wish there were a few more hot food options instead of salad or cold noodles.

Shawn Sheng Absolutely top tier French cuisine. The escargot were fantastic and so flavorful. The interior is wonderfully designed and has a great ambiance. The service is fantastic and everyone is very friendly and helpful. The perfect spot for a date night, it is dimly lit and very intimate. Incredible experience.

Sarah Kelly Fun brunch with a friend, expensive but worth it for delicious food and such a cute curated place. We got the avocado “toast” (our favorite), duck leg katsu, and the pancakes! Pancakes were very sweet and I enjoyed them, but too rich for my friend. Friendly staff and overall such a great experience!

Matthew Kniskern 3 of us went for Christmas dinner and I was extremely happy with the entire experience. The restaurant is lively and beautiful. It isn’t your typical establishment with bright lights and a quiet environment. Music is playing, but even with my hearing issues, I didn’t find it overly loud. Our server was incredible from start to finish. He provided perfect recommendations and explanations of the menu. He was meticulous in ensuring that food allergies were attended to, confirming each order with the kitchen. The food was great, both in presentation and taste. We ordered the snapper, pork fried rice, cashew chicken, lobster wontons, salad, veggie dumplings, tofu, and bok choy. All the dishes were enjoyed and the only reason for leftovers was that the serving sizes are quite large!! We also got desserts, the matcha crème brûlée and carrot cake. Both were a great ending to a perfect meal. Many restaurants have desserts that feel like an afterthought but these were different. The perfect “exclamation point” to end our meal. Thanks for the food, the service, and a great experience.

nikita patel Waited 2 hours to get seated and it was so worth it. Most incredible slices of meat we’ve ever had. The ‘menu was very straight forward and we loved the ambiance of the restaurant. We got the strawberry shortcake for dessert too. 10/10 perfect place for a special occasion
