The Hanger Steak BOWL has 4 oz of beef and the Hanger Steak PLATE has 5.3 oz of beef. The additional $6 you pay to upsize from the bowl to the plate is definitely worth it. Especially, if you are looking to increase your daily protein intake, which you should be. My wife and I have tried almost everything on the menu. They use good quality ingredients that are seasoned well and cooked to order. A must try food when you are in San Luis Obispo!

5 /5 Cin Backwater: Every dish is amazing! You really cant go wrong. My preferences are the Saffron Chicken plate and the Lamb burger. I didnt get a photo of the burger. Im sorry. I was too hungry to remember.

The food is indescribably delicious - all of it - I had the big platter with some of everything as well as a side of the loaded potatoes which were unbelievably tasty! They plate the food so gourmet-ish as well! Just beautiful presentation for everything we had. This is truly authentic Persian food. I used to eat Persian food a lot when I lived in L.A. and played percussion for a middle-eastern band weekly in Glendale and they would give us food after our gig and I gotta say, I like Shekamoo Grills food even more! Kudos to authentic Persian food! The service was superb and the owner/chef even came out to our table to talk to my brother and myself; very kind man! Highest praises and recommendation for this impeccible restaurant!

5 /5 Reddeiah Raju Konduru: While browsing at SLO Ranch Market, I picked up some delicious chicken skewers and sides. The chicken was perfectly cooked with a nice balance of flavors. Id definitely go back for more.

5 /5 Maya Seagraves: Shekamoo Grill is my FAVORITE PLACE to get food in slo. All of the food there is sooooo flavorful (it’s nice to go somewhere that actually uses spices). Everyone there is so nice and put up with all of my questions when I first went to help me get exactly what I wanted. They are super open to questions and clarifications if you’re feeling undecided. Also as a college student who is balling on a budget it is really nice that they have varied portion sizes to fit your budget. I usually get the bowl because it’s 6 dollars cheaper than the plate and it’s plenty of food! My favorite things to get are the koobideh (I’m not really a meat person but I love it), the loaded potatoes (TO DIE FOR), and the chocolate pistachio cheesecake. For an order-at-the-counter spot, it sure feels like I’m dining at a restaurant. I love bringing my girlfriend and my friends here because a lot of them are gluten free, dairy free, and/or vegetarian and the menu is super friendly to dietary restrictions. Bonus!
