3 /5 John Abma: I’ve been a customer for over 30 plus years. Loved going here since I was young. Best homemade Blue cheese dressing anywhere. However it has changed. Prices are too high for this type of restaurant in this area. Atmosphere is not the same. Digital menus and other unnecessary upgrades have driven cost up. It was always busy because it was a great value and cost for a whole family. It was balanced. Its current pricing structure is not balanced and it cannot compete against other restaurants at this price point. Business looks slow every time I’m in. Sad. This was a great place for the communities they served. Trying to compete with other restaurants at this price does not seem like it’s going to work out. Hopefully the owners, Look to the foundation of what this restaurant was built as, a value family steak house for all income levels and families. To lower prices and still make profit, Perhaps keeping up volume at lower prices, better special’s , so you can get better pricing on meat and supplies by buying more, better training and scheduling for labor to lower costs, go back to regular signage instead of digital and many other possibilities. I hope the new owners watch current trends and notice more restaurants returning to their roots to attract customers again.

4 /5 D Johnson: Food is not bad. Clam chowder needs some work and the cheesecake is definitely not on par. However the rest of the food is good especially the carrot cake and burgers. Iced tea was on point this visit as well! If youre looking for an old school, cafeteria style setting... This is the place. Quite the relic that brings back lots of memories.

2 /5 Bunny Rivera: Sundowners isn’t what it use to be. I’ve been coming here for YEARS. To both the Fontana and San Bernardino locations. I’ve always ordered the same plate. A medium rare steak with a baked potato and shrimp. With a bowl of clam chowder and unsweet ice tea.. only to come in today, the tea was disgusting, lid was left open. And the steak had shrunk double in size. It was tiny, hard, and burnt! (If yall remember the old Sundowner steaks) The clam chowder was still good, just a little salty. But, unfortunately, I will not be returning to this place anytime soon. Not sure how long this place will last with such high prices and terrible cheap food. You don’t even get a refill on soup at least.. just terrible for experience.. they don’t care about their customers, or the food would be better…

5 /5 Harrison Lux: Sundowners is one of my go-to spots in San Bernardino! I love their lunch specials—great portions, great prices, and always fresh. I try a different one every week and have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the food always hits the spot. If you’re looking for a solid meal without breaking the bank, Sundowners is the place. Classic hometown restaurant that’s consistently good. Staff is always friendly and super helpful!
