The Corner Kitchen - (Near Concord, CA)

Richard Katz This was the best restaurant meal I have ever had. No kidding. Im seventy seven years old and Ive eaten a lot of restaurant meals all over the world. Today I went riding around town at lunchtime thinking I would really like to sink my teeth into a couple of good tamales. I drove past Masa right here in my home neighborhood of POint Richmond; Masa makes a righteous tamale, no doubt about that. But I wanted to explore; I wanted to go find something new and special. I motorcycled over to 23rd street, went past restaurants and taco trucks, all of them known to be good. I went up and down 22nd and 23rd street, thinking that what I really wanted was tamales from a mercado like I used to get in the Mission at the front of the food stores, inexpensive and delicious and really fresh. Then I decided to head down MacDonald for no good reason and BOOM! right there where there used to be a place called the Garage, theres a new restaurant Richmond Eats. They had a sandwich board out front that said "3 Tamales $10" but only on Saturday and Sunday, and this was Tuesday. I parked the bike and went inside and sure enough they would cook me up some pork tamales, three for ten bucks. Im not going to try and tell you how good they are. You gotta go buy them for yourself and your kids and eat them blazing hot fresh from the kitchen. Dont take my word for it, just go. On my way out the woman at the counter told me "Those are Salvadorean tamales." Nothing wrong with Mexican tamales, no sir, nothing at all, no no no. But you gotta check out Richmond Eats. Salvadorean and Mexican. And man, this restaurant is so clean it SPARKLES.

G-Dawg Moreno The deep fried Quesadilla and beer battered Fish Tacos were amazing. The quesadilla was fried to perfection with cheese, carne asada and lettuce, the beer battered fish cooked perfect with red cabbage and a aioli sauce that complimented the fish perfectly. Skip the rice and beans. Friendly staff, Chris was very helpful explaining the specials and menu. The owner was also very friendly too. They have a small inside seating area but also have a large side outdoor patio to eat at. The watermelon agua fresca was very refreshing too

Jason Williams A old building that has been beautifully updated. Huge bar with plenty of televisions. Also plenty of tables for eating. Western Burger was presented well and delicious. The clam chowder and salad was good. Really good dressing. The star was the fries and tots! Perfect crunch to them. The staff was really good about helping with what to order. There was other options to eat but we passed them up to try this and it showed why they have such good ratings.

Teri S We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and had the BEST experience! We both ordered filet mignon and it was so tender and delicious! It came with mashed potatoes and vegetables which were also amazing! The service was spectacular and we will definitely dine here again. Before dinner, we enjoyed a drink at their bar and the bartenders were very friendly and offered drink suggestions. The whole experience was really wonderful overall! FYI: Since they are only open Friday-Sunday at 5pm, you can make a reservation online.

Jessica Boland What an awesome gem in downtown Antioch. The owner is so incredibly kind and passionate about her tea room all you can do is smile with her. So do yourself a favor book the tea date for you and your besties. You wont regret it.

Yurixi Morales This place is AMAZING, the fresh jugos are my favorite!!. Definitely recommend it if you’re in for a sweet treat, they have a variety of different items you can try. The service is amazing as well everyone is so welcoming and nice.
