5 /5 Tasha Spaniel: We waited an hour for a table, but it was worth the wait! Service was wonderful, the food was delicious and my husband enjoyed his mimosa. I thought the coffee was quite good as well. Large menu with lots of options for many diets. Definitely recommend if youre looking for a yummy breakfast/brunch/lunch in Lake Tahoe.

5 /5 Cee Rose: The reviews are literally true. Perfect service. Great food. Cool atmosphere. The owner walks you to your table and remembers your name. Such a treasure. The menu says we make mimosas like were drinking them at home and they were NOT kidding. I felt like I was in this ladies kitchen and she was feeding us on our way home. A great great place. Stop in.

5 /5 Shahab Sassan: Absolutely loved our experience at The Getaway Cafe! It’s hard to put into words just how much we enjoyed it. This cozy, local gem offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere paired with beautifully crafted dishes that hit the spot. We tried the Coconut French Toast, Benedict, and Chilaquiles — each one cooked to absolute perfection. The flavors were well-balanced, portions generous, and presentation thoughtful. On top of that, the staff was incredibly polite and attentive, making us feel right at home. This place truly stands out in South Lake Tahoe — highly recommended!

5 /5 Kagansky Dmitry (dimikagi): The food and service here were terrific. Friendly staff and very good comfort food for breakfast. And dogs are welcome, which is always nice to see. The only warning is that the chorizo -IS- spicy. Yes, its supposed to be but it was unexpectedly so. Not a negative at all but just something to be aware of.
