Nate Crawford We got lucky and had a privacy booth. Made our meal somewhat intimate and I think that added to the ambiance. We started with the candied walnut salad. Definitely recommend it. Perfect balance of sweet and balsamic on a bed of greens. From there we had the stuffed salmon and ribeye! Both were outstanding, but the steak was top 5 ever for me. So full of flavor and cooked perfectly to my desired medium-plus temperature. Of course we saved room for dessert. We did the crème brûlée and followed up with the chocolate box. Never had anything like that before…. Absolutely delectable and could be shared by 4 so consider yourselves warned. Will for sure be back!

Joe Ovalle Such a lovely place to visit. They have amazing food my favorite dish is their Lamb Bolognese, and their risotto with jumbo shrimp, amazing desserts too, and not to mention a great selection of wine. The atmosphere is my favorite especially for dinner so cozy and love the pool view. The service is impeccable Jordan is their best server he is so attentive, friendly, and gives the best guest experience always on top of everything. Oh they are very dog friendly and thats always a huge plus in my book.

The dinner was used to kick off a week long cohort and even as we said goodbye to one another at the airport, we were all still talking about how great the food was at Saint Michaels Alley!

Stephanie S Absolutely amazing experience! My boyfriend and I decided to try out this restaurant after hearing great things, and it did not disappoint. Our server, Allie (Alessandra), was outstanding! She was so informative, offered recommendations, and drink parings. Our dinner and drinks were delicious, and the overall ambiance was impeccable. We will definitely be coming back & bringing friends and family along! :)

Sharon We stopped by Amador County’s Shenandoah Valley to pick up our wines and were delighted to stumble upon The Taste — such a wonderful surprise! Chef Micha welcomed us with warmth and shared locally foraged end-of-season boletes — firm, rich with umami, and absolutely unforgettable. The venison, perfectly cooked and paired with chanterelles, was autumn on a plate. And the fig cream pie — with silky vanilla pudding, fresh figs, candied pecans, and fig purée — was the perfect sweet finale. Every detail reflected care, creativity, and the beauty of the season.

Michaela OHara Always a lovely experience dining here, what with the peaceful ambiance and easy parking situation. We had an unwanted guest at one point (a wasp) & the staff immediately took action to move us inside. Not pictured was a delicious peach torta, consumed within seconds. Always look at the dessert menu :)
