SP2 Communal Bar + Restaurant - San Jose

Rating: 4.1 /5
Carl Foisy Since the day this place opened. It has been a delight. Definitely on the list of some of the best happy hour in downtown San Jose. Consistency is king and with this spot consistency is on point. Everything from the sticky ribs to their warm burrata cheese, the food is great. I understand there. Chef is very talented and is indeed keeping the bar high. Happy hour drinks are a good deal, and if you get there early enough, you can find a seat at the bar or outside on the covered patio. I’m glad they’ve survived and are still doing great things.

PPK on the Park - Paso Robles

Rating: 4.4 /5
Evelyn Arnold I ordered via Door Dash today, however, my grandson and I were at the location downtown last week. I can say the atmosphere was friendly and overall a great experience then too. The food is delicious. My grandson loves the lemonade which isnt on the door dash menu so I called and an exception was made. We will definitely be back!

Kitchen & Vine - San Luis Obispo

Rating: 4.5 /5
Sarah Kitchen & Vine is a delightful spot that exceeded all my expectations! The dishes burst with flavor and freshness, and the cozy, inviting atmosphere makes it such a charming place to dine. The chilaquiles were packed with savory goodness, the lemon poppyseed waffles were perfectly balanced, and the avo toast—huge and absolutely divine—is a must-try. You can’t come here without trying the almond croissant warmed up, yum yum yum!!The hibiscus tea with a touch of lemonade was the perfect refreshing sweet treat. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Parkside Taphouse - Chico

Rating: 4.2 /5
Troy H The service was good and our server was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The entrees are all pretty solid, and Ill tell ya, they have the very best pretzels in the area. When the weather permits, its fun to hang out at their outside area as well.

The Old Mill Restaurant - Lower Lake

Rating: 4.2 /5
Mike M First time here and this place is amazing. You almost pass it driving downtown through old Lower Lake. Outside looks remodeled and very nice, with great woodwork craftsmanship. Once inside, the place is on the small side but very welcoming, clean and perfectly spaced with lots of television and clear view of the outside through large windows. Not to mention the warm greeting we immediately received once we entered through the door. We came around the beginning of lunchtime so there was no crowd, but that quickly changed towards the end of our meal which tells me the place is pretty popular! We ordered the bacon cheeseburger and French dip sandwich from the lunch menu and they were absolutely delicious! I asked for medium rare on my burger and it was on point! We both agreed that fries were a hit… perfectly cooked, the right amount of seasoning and crispness/crunchiness!!! Definitely on our agenda to visit again and try their breakfast and dinner menu!

Samurai Sushi Bar - Hanford

Rating: 4.4 /5
Yahaira Sanchez We started going here before Covid. Food was already so delicious. We moved away a couple years and finally made it back to Samurai Sushi. It was amazing to see how full the restaurant was (must mean food is still great)! Husband tried the Spicy Samurai and I had the Mexican Monkey. Spicy Samurai was so delicious. Tuna is seared and they add some strawberry sauce. So it’s the perfect spicy/sweet mixture. Loved it. As for the Mexican monkey- it never disappoints but I don’t remember it being so messy with so much as toppings. Either way it was still filling and delicious.
