The Rustik Fork - (Near Riverside, CA)

4 /5 Anoop Bhatti: I had a great dinner at Rustik Fork. The place has a warm, comfortable vibe, and the food really delivered. I ordered the burger and fries — the burger was juicy with great flavor, and the fries were thick-cut, perfectly seasoned. The rest of the group ordered different dishes, and everyone seemed genuinely happy with their meals. Service was friendly and the whole experience felt relaxed and easy. It’s the kind of spot you’re glad to stumble into after a long day. I’d definitely come back.

3 /5 Kimberly Chesebro: We visited as a group of four at 5:00 PM on the night before Christmas Eve. Booking via Yelp was seamless with plenty of availability. We were the only ones there for the first hour. The Food • The Best: The Braised Short Rib was the standout of the night—perfectly cooked. The Wagyu Ribeye and Surf and Turf were also enjoyed by the table. • The Mid: The Charcuterie Board featured high-quality meats and cheeses, but the roasted bread was rock hard. • The Issues: Across all four mains, the vegetables were undercooked. The yellow carrot on the Surf and Turf was actually impossible to chew, and the zucchini was essentially raw. • Skip Dessert: We wouldn’t recommend the desserts for the price. The Rustik Sundae had stale cake crumbles and mediocre ice cream. And while the Brownie was tasty and massive (enough for 4), it was served stone cold. Atmosphere & Service The first hour was lovely and relaxed. However, around 6:00 PM, the vibe shifted drastically. They began playing loud techno/club music that felt out of place for a holiday dinner. Once the room filled up, the noise level became overwhelming to the point where we couldnt hear each other across the table. There were large dining parties of 12 or more full of adults who were screaming and yelling - which was a lot for such a small dining area. Service also slowed down significantly once the crowds arrived, as there appeared to be only one waiter and one host handling the entire floor. We have never been here before so to be fair, we don’t know if there was only one server because of the holidays or if this is normal for the restaurant. The Value Our total came to $500 (including tip) for four people with no alcohol—just water, tea, and coffee. While we expected a holiday splurge, the price felt steep, given the issues with the sides, desserts, and the distracting noise level toward the end of our meal. Why 3 stars? I’m giving 3 stars because while the main courses were high-quality, the combination of raw vegetables, stale desserts, and an overwhelming noise level didnt justify a $500 price tag for a family dinner. Summary: Go for the short rib, arrive early for peace, and skip the appetizers and desserts.

5 /5 Lupe Grivas: Rustic Fork has that true farm-to-table, organic feel, and you can taste the freshness in the food. I tried both the burger and the steak, and they were excellent—juicy, flavorful, and really well done. The veggies were fresh and definitely stood out. I also ordered the Brussels sprouts, which were delicious, though I would’ve loved them just a bit crispier. The mac & cheese was the only dish that didn’t wow me—it was okay, but I think the organic approach changes the flavor from the classic comfort style people expect. The alcoholic beverages were decent, nothing too memorable, but they fit the rustic vibe. Overall, if you’re looking for a place that serves fresh, organic, farm-to-table meals, Rustic Fork is definitely worth visiting. One tip: if you’re planning to come with a large group, make sure to call ahead so they can accommodate.
