The Well Cafe - (Near Alpine, CA)

Tiffany K This was our first time staying at this location. The staff was very nice and attentive. We were unexpectedly upgraded from a Courtyard King to a Superior Peek View King room. The rooms were cozy, but the outside street and courtyard noises sometimes can be a little loud. Every night there were delicious fresh baked cookies after the turndown service and breakfast was included with the option to eat in the courtyard or have it delivered to the room. Parking is valet street parking. The location of the hotel is great because it is walkable to a lot of cute shops in Carmel.

Rickie Norris We had a great time this evening! There were 10 of us! They were very accommodating and took very good care of us. Some ordered food from them and some from Dicicco’s!

Anh La Went to soft opening, such good vibes but what you really want are the fish tacos,, ceviche and lumpia!! Everyone was so friendly and courteous. Left so full and extremely satisfied, can’t wait to come back. Want to next try the sandwiches and piping hot fish stew (looked like a gumbo cioppino hybrid) those looked incredibly good coming out of the kitchen!

renee m Birria is 10/10 in this spot. Ramen birria is super delicious and the Torta de Birria was phenomenal. Definitely a new favorite. Customer service is super friendly and very dedicated to their customers.

Mikaela Gauer I’ll get straight to the point. I wasn’t sure if I should book this hotel due to the mixed reviews, but I was looking for something last minute that was pet friendly on my way from Tahoe to LA. I’m so glad that I did. The people at the front desk were very helpful with my luggage and guided me to my room. I went over to Bar Sierra for dinner and and was immediately impressed with the service - particularly Will, who greeted me from behind the bar and made excellent recommendations for both food and beverage. My dinner (kale salad with salmon) and mezcal cocktail were both fantastic. (I lived in NYC for 16 years; so trust me I am a food snob). The chef knows what he is doing. I had a glass of wine post dinner at the wine bar and had an awesome convo with Chip, the Sommelier. Also super knowledgeable and friendly. The room itself is quiet, super clean, the bed is comfortable and most importantly, my dog is happy. Five stars all around.

Tiffany Sum First time stay here at the Proper. Atmosphere was great. Loved the convenience of having breakfast at the Palma. Shoutout to our server, German. He was so sweet and his service was excellent. I left my sunglasses and he saved it for me. He actually tried to run out to find me… food quality was great too. I would consider coming back!
