5 /5 Jessica Koch: I don’t usually go to Mexican restaurants, but I decided to give Xecora a try—and I’m so glad I did! The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavor. I really enjoyed watching the Dodgers game while I ate; it made the atmosphere even better. My server, Zaida, was incredible—attentive, kind, and made sure everything was perfect. And Valeria, the bartender, made some of the most delicious drinks I’ve had in a long time! Both of them made the experience truly special. I genuinely enjoyed my visit and will definitely be coming back. This is officially my new favorite spot!

5 /5 Denise Burrola: The food was fresh and delicious. I had the Agua Chile and a bowl of albondigas. They were both amazing. If you find the albondigas needing more flavor you can ask for extra spice and they bring you it. The beans are delicious. Our server was Zaida and she was extremely friendly. She didnt rush us and answered questions since it was our first time here. They have tvs and music but the music isnt so loud that you cant talk. Im excited to come back again.

1 /5 Omid Haghighat: I don’t usually leave reviews like this, but I feel like I should share what happened after a recent meal at Xecora. I ended up developing meningitis shortly after eating there and I was hospitalized for four days. I believe the cause was the shrimp aguachile that they served. Just to be clear, I’m not writing this to attack the restaurant or its owners. I actually hesitated to post anything at all. But I think it’s important for others to know about my experience, and for the restaurant to be aware in case there’s anything they might want to look into with food handling or their suppliers. I went to Xecora for lunch on October 22 with a friend. We shared only two dishes—the shrimp aguachile and chips and salsa. The shrimp tasted a little off to me at the time, but I didn’t think much of it. Later that same day, both of us started feeling sick. My symptoms got progressively worse until I finally went to Kaiser Sunset, where I ended up being admitted and diagnosed with viral meningitis. I was there for four days. My friend also got sick, though thankfully his symptoms were milder, and he didn’t need to be hospitalized. I truly hope no one else has to go through anything like this. I’m sharing my experience in the hope that it’s helpful.

5 /5 thea fernandez: My father, sister and I visited this restaurant on a whim for what was supposed to be a quick lunch, but it ended up being the meal of a lifetime! On entering we were immediately greeted and placed at a table, there was plenty of seating space available. We were given complimentary tortilla chips and fresh salsa to snack while choosing our order. The host, Ricardo, was extremely friendly, easy-going and patient. He was very sweet and even gave us each a bowl of complimentary lentil soup, truly a wonderful treat. We ended up ordering the Kesabirria Tacos, Huevos Rancheros and one of the house specials, the Zarandeado Fish. The dishes were delicious, fresh and filling, and absolutely worth the price. Each dish came with some amount of Mexican rice and beans, and there was much food to go around between the three of us. My personal favourite was the Kesabirria tacos, with the slow cooked Argentinian beef that was bursting with flavour. The restaurant was clean, had ambient lighting, comfortable seating, great music and it was decorated with unique and colourful cultural artworks. Also, although we didn’t take advantage of it, there is also a bar available, with an extensive drinks menu. As a college student who is new to the area, I’m glad to have found such a wonderful and authentic Mexican place in the vicinity, and I’m definitely going to come back here with my friends sometime soon. 5 /5 Rukia Yosuf: Got the beef/carne asada fajitas. Everything was so well seasoned and tasted delicious. Best fajitas I’ve had since living in LA. Very impressed. However I came on a Sunday and they had a lovely live band. They played well but it was just so overwhelmingly loud. I couldn’t hear anything or even talk to my partner or even when the server came around. Everything else was perfect though. Just if they could make the live band just a tad bit less loud so people can enjoy their meals and company. Otherwise will definitely be back!
