Holly Paget We were at Grape Escape wine bar and their chef was ill so no food available. Did an online order with Cinders. Food came promptly- pizza and salad were delicious. We were grateful for great food.

Mrs Price This is all I want when I visit Redding. It never disappoints; the food is always consistent, and the staff are all so welcoming. The Buddha bowls are a must-try with a side of falafel.

John Mazzochi I was in Redding, CA for a job interview, but have known that this Black Bear Diner is the ORIGINAL and have been wanting to come for years, so it was no thing at all to drive up the extra hour! The diner itself is cozy, traditional, but has plenty of seating and the service (and food) was excellent, especially since it was around the holidays (12/17) that I visited. My favorite things there are simple: Biscuits and Huckleberry Shake (in spite of the cold weather, haha)! On top of it all, you cant beat the views of Mt Shasta that are right outside the doors! Thank you Black Bear Diner OG, I will be back!

Elton E Great find in Redding. Well maintained property. Beautiful garden and water fixtures. I had the prime rib and eggs breakfast. The best breakfast steak Ive ever had. Great cut of meat cooked perfect. Server asked how crispy Id like my hasbhbrowns. Theyre that thorough! They had a chridens menu selections and crayons for the kids. Servers were sweet, you can tell they cared about the restaurant. Enjoyable environment. Recommended!

Mikey Blu Ricky Bobby was awesome and food delicious and abundant. The loaded tri tip potato skins are a stand out. We also really enjoyed the fried mushrooms.

alana hernandez Food and service were great! Went in during dinner rush, got seated within 25 mins! Our server was Dion, he was super sweet and we requested a booth and he instantly moved us! We got rustlers rib eye and the sheriffs. Both steaks came out so good!! Dion was SUPER good to us! We enjoyed it!

Evelia Diego Ordered the trio fajitas for two with rice and beans. They were amazing, perfectly cooked and seasoned. We shared it and it was more than enough for 2 adults. The kids menu had multiple options, we ordered the chicken strips. Benjamin and German recommended house margaritas, they provided top notch service, making us enjoy our evening out. We will definitely be coming back.

Nick Schenck The Grand Buffet in Redding is an excellent dining experience. The restaurant is very clean and well-kept, which makes the whole atmosphere welcoming. The servers were attentive, friendly, and made sure plates were cleared quickly and drinks stayed full. While it doesn’t have extras like a live koi pond, the focus is clearly on great service and a wide variety of fresh, tasty food. Overall, it’s a great spot for a satisfying meal in Redding.

Rebecca Rowell Chicken flavor is SO good! We got Medium and it was perfect! Fries are also good, if you’re a pickle fan you’ll love the flavor of the dill pickle chips and the amounts are large! Friendly service and clean atmosphere we will definitely be returning.

Pranjali Sharma Great spacious ambiance with good food. This is a solid choice if you plan to have fish and chips. You order at the counter and then seat yourself. They have a maritime theme with beautiful murals and models of lighthouses for decor. You also get an extra slide of fish with every meal that you choose. We ordered the combination meal of 2 fish with popcorn shrimp with a cup of clam chowder and jalapeno poppers. The clam chowder was excellent - warm, not too thick, just the right amount of salt and delicious. The battered fish was decent - I would have liked slightly thicker fish fillets and less batter, but it was delicious. The popcorn shrimp was excellent. The fries were very good and the coleslaw was excellent. The poppers were delicious but a little too crunchy from frying. Service was fast even though they said it would take a while. The guys manning the whole restaurant were very nice. All in all, this was a good fish and chips experience, decently priced especially for an extra fillet of fish, and in a clean, cute maritime restaurant. Definitely recommend!
